bowling was adequate
fielding was absolute gash
batting was fantastic - prior in particular
pitch was definitely a batting pitch, and we made the most of it
i remember getting in trouble at primary school for killing a slow worm. there was a family of them down a little hill on top of which was a path. we used to think it was a right laugh to push people down the hill in the hope the worm would kill/scare them, but the one time we saw one someone...
my mate met him at the cheltenham festival last year - apparently he was so steaming that he couldn't even manage an autograph due to being unable to hold a pen
if we hadn't have signed a player based on cult status on big money that we didn't need owing to the fact we already had two good, young spinners who are more than adequate and instead strengthened the batting side of things then it wouldnt be such a disgrace
i still cannot get my head around...
the panesar novelty factor has worn off - everybody knows how to play him, that much was evident by his absolutely appalling record with northamptonshire last year. you cant play cricket in the past, if you could then mushy would still be out there
id be much more confident about our chances...
