I did some refereeing for a bit on Sundays whilst I was at sixth form as a few on here may remember (actually for a couple in this thread). I think the issue is the County FAs are trying their best but at the end of the day you are 1 person against 22 (if not more) on any given match.
I never...
Was next to the away end to the right hand side. Great ground but even better hearing Ajax fans moan and complain the whole game. Had to take it in at the end
178-5. England are making a right mess of this. Absolutely crazy to see the difference from the series in The Netherlands in June last year.
Michael Vaughan wrote this just half an hour ago.
It's a shame that Fred Klaasen isn't involved in the Dutch squad for this world cup. We could have had some Sussex-born representation! (Haywards Heath born with a Dutch grandfather). He missed out due to injury.
This got lost during Maxwell's phenomenal innings yesterday but if anyone is in Amsterdam already and wants to watch the game, you can find it here:
It's being streamed by the Dutch equivalent of the BBC.

Anyone already in Amsterdam/NL and wants to watch the England NL game tomorrow, it'll be free to stream on https://nos.nl/sport.
Sky Sports will region lock you and it is with Dutch commentary, but it's better than nothing.
I'm sorry but whoever is in charge of the loanees needs to watch Vitesse this year and bring him back. Great that he had a nice time, but he's with us to develop.
Plenty of other Dutch clubs who play milese better football.
Mentioned it at the time and I'll mention it now, it's very strange Kozlowski went to Vitesse on loan for another year. They struggled last year and are bottom again this year. I hope we pull him in January and send him somewhere else.
Feeling weirdly negative about this one with Ajax's upturn in form. We need an early goal to get the crowd on their backs.
There is absolutely nothing more than I want than to beat Ajax at their own ground. My Friday morning will be much better hearing excuses from Ajax fans rather than the...
Just be aware that tram goes through the less desirable areas of Utrecht (although, this is still a lot better than the dodgy areas of the UK). You're right next to the casino which is good craic. Whilst trains are all night back to Utrecht, the tram stops at 00.50 back to the park and ride.
If...
Good choice coming from Utrecht. It's 16 minutes with the train (and there will be a few of us going from Utrecht to Amsterdam on Wednesday and Thursday. If you need any recommendations for Utrecht let me know!
As others have said, 6 would be really unlucky unless you hit rush hour around Antwerp. The ring road is horrendous there.
Once you're in NL it should be fairly plain sailing.
