I read the last page. Didn't see Crodo but I did see a lot of people talking as if they could sign anyone they wanted. It was quite an interesting discussion about Bissouma's best position and whether it would be better to sign him, Phillips, Kamara or someone else.
There wasn't a Leeds...
I reckon Phillips could fill a Bissouma shaped hole quite well. I also think a midfield three of Biss, Caicedo and Phillips would be very, very strong. Especially with Mwepu and Ally Mac up ahead and Trossard and Lamptey/March on the flanks.
But he will be well out of our price range and...
Most probably yes but it would be amiss of us not to enquire at that price wouldn't it? You never know he might be swayed by our style of football and regular game time plus our not standing in the way of a future big move.
I'd imagine there'd be a lot of teams interested at 17.5 million. As...
Looking very much like he's back to his best.
It's good to see him come out of his loss of form/confidence. Goalkeeper is a position that can swallow you up if you let it so it was a real test of character for him to come through.
I really enjoyed that game but what a missed opportunity to (almost) relegate Leeds.
I'm also very impressed by our commitment and effort. It would have been easy to roll over in a game like that but we didn't, we fought from first minute to last and Burnley and Everton can have no complaints...
I really enjoyed that half. It's quite nice playing in an important game, in a raucous atmosphere but with nothing actually important on the line for us.*
There's definitely more goals in this game. The next one will be key. If Leeds score it, it could be a really tough second half for us...
I didn't think there would ever be a non palace reason for wanting Burnley to stay up - especially after they unceremoniously binned off Dyche - but the prospect of Leeds or Everton going down has got me rooting for them. It would be so much funnier if either of those two got relegated.
So...
If Leeds were to go down, wouldn't it be a nice touch by Sky to find the crying kid from last time and film him balling his eyes out as a 30 year old fat, toothless, tattooed topless man?
Yep, I agree with that. I've got Vierra as fourth on the list behind Klopp, Frank and Guardiola. I'd have Moyes above him too.
It really should be a straight fight between KDB and Salah. I thought City would struggle to replace David Silva but KDB is even better. And Salah is Salah.
That...
Yeah, I hate to say it but I can understand why Viera is on the list. He took over a squad of aging players who had been absolutely dire the previous season or two. Really awful, dour, defensive football that was horrendous to watch. He released a load of players, bought in some young ones...
The Blackburn Twitterati seem a much nicer and more grounded bunch than Leeds's lot. Lots of praise and well wishes for Van Hecke rather than the arrogance, delusion and entitlement that the Leeds fans showed over Ben White.
So the only one not in the pro game is Billy Collings?
That's amazing. It's a better team than we had for most of the 90's and it's 'only' a youth team.
Does anyone know what percentage of players end up playing professionally once they leave our academy? It can't be that many every year can it?
