    [Albion] The end-of-season Albion Mojometer

Did he get a rousing reception from the fans? This could be the last we see of him in Albion colours. I hope he got the love he deserves.

[Albion] Moises Caicedo - New contract signed until summer 2027 with 1 year extra option.

Me too. I had fairly high expectations for him based off of everything I'd read and heard about him but was expecting him to need more time to acclimatise to the premier league. I was worried with most people also having high expectations for him that if he came in to early and didn't match...

    [Albion] The end-of-season Albion Mojometer

Right now a 9. It's always to end a season on not just a good run of form but on some excellent performances. We've looked a really, really good side these last 8 games which fills me full of hope for next season. Yes, we might lose one or two big players over the summer, a couple more might...

[Albion] Premier League Position vs Wage bill

How can Leicester afford such a high wage bill? Winning the f.a cup and a run to the quarters of the europa league can't be that lucrative. Have they actually got half of Thailand as their fan base? I can't imagine they have much of a presence anywhere else in the world.

[Albion] Pascal Groß the raumdeuter - officially leaves for Dortmund :(

For those who go to the games how different is his position/role in recent weeks to that in his first season with us? In that first year he played in an advanced position in front of the midfield and behind Murray. On TV it looks like he's playing in a similar area now. Is that right?

[Albion] The Relegation Pick N Mix: Players To Sign

I wouldn't say no to Cornet. But that might be because he's the only player with a spark of ability in a very workmanlike team. He might not actually fit into our style.

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs West Ham United *** Official Match Thread ***

Fantastic second half, great result. We look so, so good when we get on the front foot and play with a bit of pace. Hopefully it bodes well for next season - 17 points from 8 games, 16 goals scored including 7 in our last two home games. I can't wait for next season! Also, 9th, above Palace...

    [Other Sport] F1 2022

That was a surprisingly fun race. Luck, both good and bad, striking all over the place. The win was rather handed to Max after he put himself in the gravel and couldn't get past Russell but I guess that's just lady luck evening things up a little seeing as he's had two dnfs. It's looking like...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs West Ham United *** Official Match Thread ***

I'd love 8th but I'd take a point as that would give us a very god chance of top 10. With City and Liverpool going for the title, Leeds and Burnley scrapping to stay up, us gunning for a potential 8th it should be a pretty exciting final round of games. I can't wait!

    [Albion] Brighton Legends XI

As someone of a similar age to the o.p I think he's got the late 70's/early 80's players about right. The ones we grew up hearing about were Case, Foster, Horton, Lawrenson and Ward. Lawrenson is the only one questionable as a legend in that he doesn't seem to have an especially deep affection...

[Albion] So who are we waving goodbye to on Sunday?

Gross staying! That'll piss off the detractors...unless it's a carefully worded statement and the something agreed is a new contract somewhere else...

[Football] Burnley, Everton or possibly Leeds

Yeah, see my answer to Nobby Cybergoat in post 141. It's a weird tick in my brain that won't fully accept that particular perfectly sensible logic.
  13. Garry Nelson's Left Foot

[Football] Burnley, Everton or possibly Leeds

That's probably the most sensible way of looking at it but there's some kind of weird tick in my brain that won't accept it. Although it will accept 10th as categorically our best ever finish as we've never finished in the top half.

[Music] What's the best song you have heard today? Share it here.

I've just discovered King Hannah. This is off their recent debut album. It's kind of Mazzy Star-ish but a bit moodier. It's the music that I imagine Lana Del Ray wants to make. Anyway, it's excellent. A slow burn that builds and builds and then catches fuzzy fire.
  15. Garry Nelson's Left Foot

[Football] Burnley, Everton or possibly Leeds

I've been thinking of this best ever finish stat. We finished 13th in a 22 team league. If we finish 13th this season that would be in a 20 team league which wouldn't be as good. By my very dodgy maths if we finish 12th weve effectively equaled it. 11th or above and we've beaten it.

George W Bush dropping another classic Bushism, talking about 'a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq...I mean Ukraine'
  17. Garry Nelson's Left Foot

[Football] Burnley, Everton or possibly Leeds

That's the obvious answer. Ideally Everton will win 10 or 11 nil, thus ruining Palace's goal difference advantage over us. Plus they would have lost 10 or 11 nil. I don't care by how many Burnley win, any win will be enough to guarantee Villa finishing below us. And if Chelsea could win by...

[Albion] Marc Cucurella *Signed For Chelsea 05/08/2022*

The Guardian have the story too: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/may/18/manchester-city-make-brighton-left-back-marc-cucurella-a-summer-transfer-target-guardiola They think a bid of 35million could kland him. Yes, I guess it could. But so could a fiver... They also say that MAn...

    [Music] Is Stevie Wonder overated?

Dunno, how highly do you rate him? Very few bands/artists maintain their highest levels of output. Think of it in sporting terms, is Pele overrated because he's not been good at football for 40 odd years? How about Lennox Lewis? Bang average heavy weights could knock him out nowadays. In...
