Well I enjoyed the day watching in Northern France, found a nice spot to park ourselves but got to say I didn’t find the locals particularly friendly - when we tried to ‘improve’ our view I heard a lot of new French words I fortunately didn’t understand, then there were lots of bratty kids only...

I went to Essex on Friday night - pushing 500 runs in 40 overs, made England’s batting look very tame by comparison!

For the 1982 World Cup they used Sussex University for their pre-tournament training camp and for years they had a Northern Ireland shirt that was presented to say thanks in a glass cabinet in the sports centre. I imagine it’s not there any more but you never know!
