For example, the power to dissolve Parliament, the power to veto Bills passed by Parliament, ratification of treaties, inviting political parties to form a government...
I can’t see any way that our politicians would ever vote for a ceremonial head of state to replace the monarchy.

Maybe they're like me, educated, (indoctrinated), at religious schools. Learnt the Catechism by the age of 8, morning prayers and chapel services together with the mandatory RE lessons - the more I learnt the more I realised what rubbish it all is.
