Have we managed to buy any aircraft for our aircraft carriers yet?

    [Politics] Brexit

This is clearly untrue. We have taken back control. We are now a sovereign nation. The grey battleships of Britain sit on foreign horizons. We can do whatever we want. I read it in the Mail.

Britain 'opting out' of European Convention on Human Rights ?

Did you talk to them all? Some of them may have been working class.

[Albion] Jonathan Pearce - New signings

I think so; east of Lewis Dunk but west of Dale Stephens (although the latter may have moved).

    [Politics] Brexit

Go on Pasta, for the sake of sound debate please address the underlying matter rather than repeatedly trying to score the same point on a side issue. The underlying point is that Boris Johnson negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the EU by accepting a particular solution to the NI issue, went...

Who is the worst type of Tory?

I don’t much like the tribal tories who get absolutely FURIOUS about Rule Brittania because they are so patriotic but don’t give a stuff about the fact that our country’s reputation and influence is being trashed by those who lead us.

    [News] US Election 2020

We do have a dog in the fight in that Biden deplores the UK's recent foreign policy trajectory, sees Germany as a more strategically helpful (and therefore influential) European ally than the self-isolating UK and has a gimlet eye on the GFA. I very much hope he wins but I can't recall a...

[Albion] Ben White Interview (Official Brighton & Hove Albion FC)

It doesn't stand up very well against the Veltman interview.

For that post to make any sense at all you will need to point out where I said that the oven ready deal didn't refer to the Withdrawal Agreement.

    [Politics] Brexit

This is very confusing. The Beloved Liar, having rejected the previous dish prepared by Chef May, claimed to have a lovely new one ready to pop in the oven. You say that this has now been cooked and tell us that you very much enjoyed it. But behold! The BL has now said he is going to remove...

The main reason I didn't give you an answer was that you didn't ask me a question.

    [Politics] Brexit

One incorrect word, one typo, two punctuation misfires and an underlying misunderstanding of the facts. Not bad for a single-sentence post.

Yes, some of the occupants of the scattering of dinghies crossing the channel (which Mr Farage likes to characterise as an 'invasion') may well flee before being picked up. I'd imagine though that it is far far harder to smuggle yourself into Britain than into France or Germany.

For context it may be helpful to add that France actually receives far more asylum applications than the UK. Leading EU recipients last year were Germany (111,000), France (87,100), Spain (80,000), Greece (47,000) the UK (32,000) and Italy (25,000). I believe that the UK figure was less than...

[Albion] What will be included in the new membership packs soon to be dispatched?

Another organisation I have membership of, the National Trust, sends me (and all members) a small round vehicle sticker every year. I would like the Albion to invest about thruppance a time on doing the same. It would be the familiar design, with the words Season Ticket Holder (or member, or...

    SNP and George Galloway.

A fair point but the comparison between the Catalonian and Scottish situations has weakened greatly as a result of the UK leaving the EU. Scotland breaking away from a non-EU member and then applying for membership would not be the Spain-frightening precedent it once was.

I suppose the UK's sums don't add up very well either.
