    [Finance] Consumer rights

Unless the customer has employed legal representation then the costs will be minimal. The problem you have is that you won't know until the case came to court. Personally I'd wait until the customer sent you a "letter before action" at which point you have a decision to make.

    [Finance] Consumer rights

If the customer can show that the fault is not due to misuse or what could be considered fair wear an tear then if you supplied and filled the item within the last six years you are liable for the full cost of any repair. I've been caught out in the past trying to fight such a claim and lost...

[Football] More possible FFP issues for Chelsea?

I can understand why certain nation states might throw cash at a football club for propaganda purposes. I can understand why a club fan might spend a fortune on their club. What I don't understand is why individuals and consortia are willing to "invest" hundreds of millions of pounds in a...

[Albion] Ivan Toney: clever or cheating?

So when is it no longer trivial - 6" 12" . . . ? What are the laws regarding the temporary marks made by the ref - are they any more mandatory than when the position for a free kick is indicated by a gesture but is often totally ignored?

[Albion] Ivan Toney: clever or cheating?

Trivial??? That extra yard can well be the difference between a goal and the ball being blocked.

[Albion] Ivan Toney: clever or cheating?

Still not seen an answer, from those asking for retrospective action, to the question, "are those in the wall standing in front of the line drawn equally cheating and should they have action taken against them?" Never seen a free kick being retaken because a player is just in front.

[Other Sport] Tony Bloom's horses running thread

Can't argue with that - 2 horses died racing there last year compared to 5 in 2022 and 8 in 2021 Barbaric so called "sport" where horses die solely for betting purposes.

[Albion] Ivan Toney: clever or cheating?

That's something I don't understand. Why is the offending team given time to set up their defence before the ref allows a free kick to be taken?

I took the plunge and bought one a few years back and installed in my man shed. Got quite good at it but haven't played for a year or so.

[Football] Ivan toney going to be in trouble - BANNED for 8 months to 17th Jan 2024

And we know he wasn't betting in other areas - how? A psychiatrist who interviewed him for the independent commission that set the punishment concluded he was an addict. What reason did he have to bet? Surely not because he needed the money - addiction seems the obvious answer. He...

[Football] Ivan toney going to be in trouble - BANNED for 8 months to 17th Jan 2024

I just hope he is getting help with his gambling addiction - not sure that further punishment would be helpful with that. I've seen what happens when someone gets addicted to gambling, to them and their family - not very pretty.

    [Albion] Safe Standing Survey Results

Maybe I'm missing something but I'm struggling to see what safe standing would add. From the East Stand it appears that virtually the whole of the North stand during the game at the moment. If there were a Safe Standing area wouldn't there be a tendancy to insist that those not in this area...

https://www.premierleague.com/news/3858986 A Club will be in breach of the PSRs if its PSR Calculation over the relevant period results in a loss in excess of £105 million (with that threshold reduced by £22million for each season that the relevant Club has been in the Championship during the...

[Football] The ticking Profit and Sustainability (FFP) timebomb...

That's is as maybe in the case of Forest, I don't know what their FFP financial figures were. I was simply making the point that the P&S rules for promoted clubs favours the established PL clubs. The P&S rule assumes that a promoted club has made a loss of £44m in the two years prior to...

[Football] The ticking Profit and Sustainability (FFP) timebomb...

Indeed but seems a little unfair to promoted teams. In the Championship the permitted loss is £39m over a 3 year period, (average of £13m/annum). The PL rules for P&S assume however a newly promoted club has lost £22m a year for each of the first two of a three year period. Considering a...
