Yes. i actually think they have got a half decent squad as it stands and when their injuries clear up they should just sneak above the dreaded line.
The new players that they are being associated with will take a bit of time to settle but there are enough poor sides down there for them to...
As I enter my dotage my memory quickly goes so the younger ones on here are sure to put me right but I can't remember the last time we scored a scrappy goal. The recent ones , including Welbeck's last night, are things of beauty.
By scrappy I mean a sliced attempt somehow going in, a ping pong...
I think we are being harsh on Crystal Palace . Their squad must have been down to the bare bones as watching the highlights on MOTD it would appear they had to field a carthorse at Centre Back.
I agree , everytime I watch Man Utd they are poor - I don't understand how they are so high in the table. Newcastle should have won by a couple of goals.
Lets hope they wake themselves up to play Burnley on thursday.
It's the first time this season that i've noticed us leaving a player up (or two) from their corners - nice to see.
Late in second half Maupay and Welbeck (?) took to almost standing off the pitch on opposite wings on half way when Brentford had a corner.
Its groundhog day - again !
Apart from Archer is there anyone who is missing from the squad who would have maybe made a difference ? I know Stokes is not up to speed yet but it's the lack of any hope for future Tests in the forthcoming years that is so dispiriting.
