I wouldn't be suprised if overseeing a major clear out was also deemed to be necessary, especially given some of the comments coming out of the club regarding players attitudes and professionalism.
Agreed - I would like to think that the likes of Oatway and Mayo's comments persuade the likes of Virgs to reflect on their part of this weeks events. Some of the players should also be careful of what they wish for, they may have prompted Bloom to bring in a ruthless new era.
Virgo is trying to neutralise his comments made in regard to SC after MM resurrected his career. Personally I think Virgs has come across poorly in his comments to the press and let his manager down, both as an individual player and as captain. Maybe having a point to prove will revitalise him.
It's not exactly a secret, numerous wealthy punters trust TB to "invest" funds in football betting - TB has a team of experts and risk managers advising him. Very professional setup.
Reading between the lines with regards to the the various statements made by those connected to the club I'm not convinced we are limited to the "obvious" choices being touted around on here. Domestically the only 3 candidates free, available and matching TB's criteria would be Coppell...
Smith stood no chance, the scorers all had space and time due to the shambolic defending. Other than conceding 3 he was fine, nothing spectacular but some routine and sensible handling. In fact over 90 minutes he probably made just two minor mistakes, a sliced kick (nothing unusual there) and...
Ideally, Coppell, Kevin Dillon, Guy Butters player coach.
Apparently Lennie Lawrence has suggested he and Gareth Ainsworth come in as a double act, not suprised as he was touting for the job only a month or so back.
My take on the main candidates:
Wise: Will have Ken Browns support and will surely be on Blooms radar given the press speculation over the last year. Getting rid of Booker and White paves the way for Gus Poyet and another hand (perhaps Dave Bassett?) to come in which may convince Bloom he can...
The latest King Kong where one of the crew gets eating alive by some kind of giant bugs. One slowly start devouring him from the head down before others latch onto his limbs and start eating there way up while he is struggling to free himself. :bigwave:
Hi project team,
Firstly congratulations on the work on the stadium and rapid progress, it's certainly capturing the imagination and creating a buzz.
I was just wondering if the club has made a decision yet on seating colours and any patterns or wording being displayed. So far all the plans...
Heard we are after a young striker from a premiership club, a left sided midfielder and have some contingency loan signings in mind. Pretty good source, in with the hospitality and management after Saturdays game. Suprised we don't seem to be looking at central midfield.
Good points but don't forget Adams inherited only 3 or 4 players deemed capable for 1st team dutys (Mayo, Hart, Walton, Thomas). I think Slade has inherited a nucleus of players which give him a far better starting point with midfield the only major weakness. Dicker should settle straight back...
