Thanks both. She'll be a student as well, to complicate things, so we'll see what's on offer - looks like some form of weekly ticket is going to be the best option. Hopefully she'll be entitled to subsidised beer and we can get the money back by buying pints for 58p. Don't know whether the...
Can I hijack this thread by asking my own question? My wife is going to need to travel to London at peak times three days a week next year. Is there a way of doing this that saves money and/or doesn't involve buying tickets all the time?
My wife was same college, year below. I was different college, same year. Every time I saw/spoke to him, he was like an old-fashioned, ultra-posh middle-aged man, but extremely polite and well-mannered. Nanny sightings were frequent. I'm not sure he's changed.
It’s a shame, because I really enjoyed That’s Life when I was about nine, every single thing, including the cartoon representations of what we had just seen at the end. Loved it. But it did herald the end of the weekend.
1. Ride at ULU next month
2. The National/War on Drugs/Future Islands/Public Service Broadcasting/Warpaint + others at Victoria Park, London early June
3. Closely following summer festival line-up announcements as well - would love to see cracking line ups at End of the Road/Latitude/Green...
You probably wouldn’t want him as a room mate, but the music was great, the lyrics were ridiculous poetry and the behaviour was rarely normal. We’ll miss him - RIP MES.
Thanks. I must say that I'm surprised by this, but am happy to go along with it. My usual methodology involves waiting until the final whistle, giving a quick round of applause, then sprinting all the way down to the platform. However, as each year passes, it's getting a little more...
I left after the final whistle and there was a TERRIBLE queue for the trains. Next time, I'm going to go to Lewes and come back, although I haven't yet determined at which point in the queue this becomes a viable option. Anyone done any academic research on this subject?
Bought it on Saturday, haven't played it yet. I enjoy their melancholy easy-listening country songs. I'm a sucker for great vocal harmonies.
Here Come The ABCs and that one about numbers got me through many an hour when the kids were younger. They grew to become family favourites and I still...
Did mine AGES ago because (a) I'm an accountant, (b) I'm boring and (c) I knew I'd get a rebate. If it were not for (c), I would be doing it next weekend.
He was great. Looked DISGUSTED when Chelsea scored their third and fourth. Strange game, thought we had some great passages of play, despite the scoreline.
I'll look into it - we enjoyed going round a secret nuclear bunker in Essex last year, so reliving paranoid times is probably becoming a favourite family activity.
Hope you...sorry, he gets a lot of enjoyment from it. I'll be in Resident on Saturday afternoon to pick up a few other items. The kids usually get a little bored of hanging around in the shop after about 6 minutes. I encourage them to use the headphones stations.
