Yes he will be. Sadly during the summer I think it's highly likely that Caicedo and Big Mac will probably move on if the club get offers we just can't turn down. At least knowing this in advance, we can plan now for our own strengthening and replacements required in the summer to replace them...

Reluctantly I think we should accept £60m for his right leg from Arsenal. If Chelsea want to bid £60m for the other one then they could fight it out between themselves.

What they are doing is bending the rules to the 'n' th degree, but they are also effectively spending money in advance of the next transfer windows in the next 3 years of FFP. They will have to be careful then in future windows how much they spend as large sums will have already been 'pre-spent'.

I hope you're right but traditionally we do so little in January it would be quite a change if we did. Plus, personally I'm not sure we need much more at the moment. Feel that the summer would be a better fit as clubs often get stung on prices in January.

Can't help but feel if we have £20m to spend we could buy 3 young up and coming players for a similar amount. £20m on just one player is just not our style (yes, we have spent that on Webster) but would prefer to spend it on emerging talent personally.

Agreed, but surely it would be cheaper for Chelsea to go and get players like Caicedo before us. Would save them a fortune. Man Utd could have had him 2 years ago but messed about and missed out. Chelsea should do some homework and copy our strategy.

I'll take Mudryk and Sterling if Chelsea want Caicedo.
