Pay his contract up, let him waste some other clubs resources getting "fit". If he stays here we'll have to pay wages and medical costs, let's just terminate contract and save some money on medical bills.
Time to release this sick note. A shame, but he's cost us millions in fees, wages and rehab. He's not going to be the same player, so need to cut our loses and he can do his rehab elsewhere at some other clubs cost.

I'm in a very similar situation, albeit a few years younger. I've not given up hope yet, but Mrs has very bad credit history, so would likely need to apply for a mortgage all on my own and earning £25k a year means nobody would go near me. Have you looked at shared ownership? That's the route...
