Really? I think at the time he said it he definitely meant it as he was that obsessed with the game. He back tracked later in life once he had retired and had his eyes opened by what he had missed with his family and what he had put them through. And no, I don't think any reasonable person...
But the club were aware of this because people arrested weren't entitled to have those tickets. Had those arrests not happened then the club probably would have continued to turn a blind eye to the issue.
The sorry state of this forum!!
Yes, Vicente was exceptional but not much of an impact. For me it has to be Peter Ward. Could go past anyone, had a turn of pace and his goals in 76/77 go us promoted. Can't believe no one has mentioned him. Appreciate that many will be too young.
Well that's your opinion. Mine is that they have a reputation they want to keep. If they wanted anybody to come in then they wouldn't have introduced the id checks for away games which came about because many of those arrested at away games turned out to have tickets they weren't entitled to...
Football isn't what it used to be. You can't just rock up and pay on the gate. Why should a casual fan get to jump the queue ahead of those that have paid into membership schemes, can't afford a season ticket, and then find any tom dick or harry is ahead of them at the whim of a STH who maybe...
Doesn't their website state that any tickets over £70 are premium seats with access to a lounge? If these are being sold for £275, what was their original price and is this the normal price for tickets in that area?
My Brother had his wedding reception in the Northern back in 76 (I think). Not sure they had a band though as the band he was in were probably all guests (Ray Du Val and his Rockmates).
The checking of tickets for BHA fans has been going on since beginning of last season I think and I believe that's what Bozza was referring to. Other clubs now seem to be playing catch up. The only collection I've had to do was at Etihad and haven't been asked for ID at any other match other...
Hasn't this been done to death? My understanding is that there are random ID checks by BHA staff. There are also a number of tickets that the club hold back and need to be collected with evidence of ID matching the name on the ticket. The cooperation for the home club is providing an area for...
Won't be long before there's a photo linked to your ST and the stewards will just take a glance to make sure tickets is being used by the right, entitled, person.
Lot of people going to be unhappy that their lifelong privilege of abusing the system and jumping the queue will be coming to an...
Right decision but the vagaries of the rules means, I believe, Tomiyasu's dismissal can't be rescinded. Ludicrous that a second yellow can't be looked at by VAR. Second yellow or straight red both mean a team is down to 10 (assuming no other sending offs!!) but only one can be checked by VAR...
Disagree. Yes the Dunk handball was ridiculous but that's a judgement call. Kicking the ball away or standing in front of the ball preventing a free kick shouldn't be and the sooner players catch on then the less cards there will be. However, as with all referees, consistency is key. Havertz...
To want to leave once for one club you've always wanted to play for is disappointing but to do it twice for another club is unforgiveable. Yes, he was a great player for us, for 46 games!!! He's not a legend, unlike Zamora and Murray who were welcomed back. Colwill showed class as did...
Our players look good because they play in our system. Take them out and, apart from White and probably Trossard, they don't look as good. Caicedo will get better though, he has that quality.
