[Football] Has Nathan Bitten Off More Than He Can Chew? - Sacked 12/02/2023

other than their 23 who on occasion provided some spark they were piss poor. Not got a single player who’d I take and they are in a world of bother

[Albion] Southampton vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Some of the play was amazing, one touch football. Shame that Trossard didn’t seem bothered, Ferguson showed more in his short time on the pitch than Leo did when he was on.

[News] Rail fares in England and Wales to increase by up to 5.9% in March

Encouraged to use public transport but unless you are one of the lucky few to get a cheap ticket on the day they are released the price of trains is disgusting

    [Albion] Estupinan's penalty shout

superb dive - no challenge even remotely close, could have get kept the ball to get a cross in and got good height on the fall - a solid 8.5

[Albion] Player ratings Charlton vs Brighton

The performance of Trossard was a thing of wonder, incredible. Got absolutely nothing right and just seemed to get in the way.

[Albion] BHA friendly ahead of PL re-start?

And that source needs to be extremely careful. There will only be a few people who know whether it is true or not and passing around medical info before it is in the public domain is very risky

    [Football] Southgate Stays

I don’t get it, both Southgate and Kane get an easy ride from the press (if Beckham or Rooney had missed the pen like Kane they would have been slated by the tabloids). Southgate has been found wanting every time he comes up against a decent team / manager. He has created a team in his own...

[Politics] The Sun - nurses ?

Hugely insulting thing to say. I have been around nurses all my life and they are far from fragile and have a huge amount of strength to do the job they do.

Pretty much what all the nurses I know have said. Didn’t vote or voted against it and will not be striking.

Before any sale went through they should have been made to guarantee investment in the stadium. And more Americans in the league is a bad thing

[Football] Southgate - go or stay?

No, but did we win? He is fine when we play weaker nations (mainly because the players are just better) but as soon as we play someone of supposedly similar standing we know the outcome.

[Football] Who do you now want to win the World Cup?

Never thought I’d say Argentine but having a Brighton player say he’s won the World Cup would be amazing. Throw in the Messi factor and it’s a no brainier

[Football] Southgate - go or stay?

Bloke is tactically inept and should go. It would quite nice if Kane could announce his international retirement as well but that’s just because I don’t like having a cheat on the pitch as captain

    [Football] Grant Wahl

Really liked his work and will be a big miss to US soccer. The theories about his passing are very worrying though as they seem to go beyond the usual Covid nonsense.

[News] Braking news - more train strikes over the Christmas period announced

I’m sure the small and medium businesses which form a huge chunk of the economy would love to give pay rises, but at the moment they are having a difficult time paying the bills to keep the business open. Not all businesses are run by millionaires/billionaires/ pension funds.
