To be honest I've been through them all, and all things considered this is one of the more likeble bunches there has been in years. No Conte, no Mourinho, no Tuchel, no Gerrard, no Pardew, no Rodgers. Maybe that's why no one has been fired yet?
Oh I agree with you, that wasn't my point.
The point was you WILL feel worse having had that decision against you in a world cup final than a pub match on a sunday morning
Context always matters. Context of the opening post is that they shouldn't whinge because we got the same decision against Luton. But that's daft, the context of the match matters.
PSG are currently one of the biggest sides in the world. They've got Mbappe playing for them. So what...
Dunk v Luton was not worse. We were 2-0 up against a shit side in a league match. This was the 98th minute of a crucial Champions League fixture away at one of the biggest sides in the world, on the verge of one of the biggest wins in their history. All schadenfreude aside, its a farcical...
Can't think of any poorer decisions we've had to be honest. The Dunk handball against Luton was similar.
Just a stupid rule to give a penalty for that. If you want to penalise that kind of handball, just make the sanction an indirect free kick. Giving an almost certain goal for that is just...
They have to change the sanction for an accidental handball, they can't go on giving penalties for this. Make it an indirect free kick for anything other than deliberate goal saving handballs (the old kind of handball) and we can move on with our lives.
But they should be objective to the striker, he's trying to stay onside by the law which says level is onside. If he has to think about his toe or shoulder being marginally ahead of the defender then strikers have to relearn the game
Offsides should be easy. Just create a definition of 'level' - overlapping torsos or whatever, and then apply 'linesmans call' to that. He flags him off, he has to be off by a mm or whatever to overturn it. He doesnt flag, then he stays onside provided the 'level' definition is met.
Further to...
I think Ebrima Lay of the Timbuktu Football Academy is your man. From their facebook:
Our midfield sensation Ebrima Lay was invited by the national team for a trial in a friendly encounter against the national under 20 team on Wednesday. Ebrima was a commanding force in the midfield, winning...
I expect a young terrior-like little Scottish international in the centre of our midfield and an exciting young winger from Africa too.
Oh hang on, we have them already. As you were :)
I think if a lot of our youngsters were out on loan you'd say no - at their age Adingra, Enciso, Buonanotte, Ferguson, Baleba, Hinshelwood and Verbruggen - all 21 or under -could easily have joined Sarmiento, Kozlowski, Ayari, Moran, Turns, Offiah, Leonard, Sima, Rushworth and others on loan...
Yep. The VAR room should not offer an opinion. Have the ref decide to look again if he wants, on any penalty given or penalty appeal, but have no input from the VAR room on what they think.
