What on earth are those helmets playing at. Every now and again what they do has a vague semblance of a plan and then they do totally mad stuff like this. Good enough for Necastle but not Chelsea. Meanwhile they pay nearly 300m on players for the same position?
It's still a hell of a risk though. The biggest one being they've bought 25 odd players who are all kids. The natural odds say that 3 or 4 of those are going to turn out to be not as good / promising as hoped, or have personal problems / down tools / become disenfranchised when not playing...
Equally the 'moises loves london' shouts were a bit weird.
Like the chelsea players all get to training on the tube. There training ground is rural Surrey. I genuinely reckon you could get to london from Brighton quicker than from most Chelsea player gaffs
I was just co sidering a thread recently where clubs like Leicester and Saints were considered to be the precursors to Brighton and where it started to go wrong for them. There were lots of factors but a big one was both clubs losing faith in what got them where they were in the first place...
I just can't make myself get arsed about Kudus. Breaking out transfer record again, on a player who's clearly just waiting for the best off to come in. Just feels like veering away from what we are good at and just slugging away with the usual merry-go-round clubs for the same overpriced players.
Impossible to tell from one game. A lot of it depends on how well and how quickly they learn from their mistakes. Despite being the Premier League there's actually a fair amount of averageness in this league.
I think they'll do alright if they stick together. Possibly not enough to stay up but...
Nice. Watched from a bar on the beach overlooking the med. Hunched over my phone like a sad wanker.
Not the smoothest performance but had a couple of other gears available if necessary I thought. Looking forward to getting back for west ham.
What on God's green earth was that penalty.?
Sadly can't be there as on holidays. Hopefully it isn't a Lutonian sitting in my seat.
Can't see this being straightforward in any way. Luton will be full of beans. I'd take any old scrappy win now to get us on our way.
Will be interesting to see if the Luton manager has done his homework...
Agreed. One positive from all this crap is that it's going to be surprisingly easy to wave Moises goodbye. A top player who's invited a ton of vampire baggage into his home.
One of the most enjoyable things about last season was the sense of unbreakable unity. I hope we can get on with that...
