What were the 'active talks' that have now ceased I wonder? Todd and Tony on CB Radios asking about each others 'six' and how many 'candles' they are burning?
Other wise it just means they haven't sent an email for a bit.
I've just emailed Winstanley with a genius plan to get this one over rhe line. Just buy a 19 year old keeper from France and pretend we wanted him. Then erm. Strategy. Erm. Something something.
Not really because they are loaning him out as he's not ready.
So A - he wasn't really our replacement. Just Chelsea Twitter fantasists imagining some sort of revenge.
And B - if he was (he's not) they still need Caicedo now and so (based on their own fantasy) have just bought the person we'd...
Doesn't really make.much sense. If they knew about our replacement they'd surely want him to stay available to us.
Also RDZ's hints have been about a "great' player who can come in and replace Moises. I reckon we have someone job ready. Not another 19 year old.
I was wondering whether it was just my perception because hid been watching Gross's runs from full back all match. But he ge uinely looked like he had a zip in his step. Wonder if he just needed and extended recuperation. He was playing outside that Amari (?) Character when he came on who's now...
I generally agree. He's totally grown on me because he's a good finisher but I often felt the game passed him by. He was more of a cult hero than anything. When De Zerbi said ' we need a squad that can compete in 4 competiitions' - he meant quality as well as a slight increase in numbers...
It may have just been my perception but he seemed quick and zippy when he came on. Also big warm hug and smiles all round from De Zerbi when he came on. There clearly had an 'I want you here' chat.
Not much to learn from the end last night really. A load of kids out of position just getting an experience. They'll probably learn from it individually as part of their career progression but I can't see much the first team can learn from that.
