I understand why they are doing it, but it feels like a lot of extra time, and we all know that injuries are more likely to occur when a player is tired or fatigued.
I wonder if up to 15 minutes of extra time (first and second half combined) is stretching tired players too far. When they are knackered at 90 and then have to push on for another 10, injuries will occur.
Here's my suggestion:
- Invite all fans that want to go to apply for the ticket lottery with a closing date (we sort of had this with the expression of interest)
- Set the tiers and have more of them (I think the 220 scooped up a mighty group which was always going to lead to a bun fight) to...
I quite like Wimbledon Centre Court ticketing. You apply and get entered into a lottery. They email you once that has been drawn to let you know if you have got a ticket. Albion could do this on a tier by tier basis. Would be far less stressful for everyone and less demanding on the tech to hold...
They are definitely milking the concept. The originality and charm are pretty much gone. It's a pleasant facsimile of the original series. A Constable on a buscuit tin lid if you will.
Injuries to key players, particularly Pascal Gross. Starting, not unusually, a very young side in the cup. Blooding new players so they get minutes. Managing the squad across a lot of fronts. Playing games every three to four days. Critically, a system they all know.
I can see why he's done it.
Does anyone have pictures of the shop that used to be at the north end of Reigate road on the corner with The Drove. It was opposite what was the off licence on Reigate road and across The Drove from the Hovis bakery and a few other shops.
