    [Travel] Sun £9.50 holidays

I am sure that we will enjoy ourselves and my schoolboy french from 60+ years ago will get us by as it usually does. When we had the pubs we often went to different parts of France Holland and Germany for a few days break but have never been to Brittany to stay only driven through.

[Football] Another big problem with VAR

I got the point about the lino not flagging but was extending the argument and showing that VAR as applied now is not fit for purpose.

    [Travel] Sun £9.50 holidays

Could this be two fold (a) doing it in The Sun reaches the maximum numbers (b) Snobs who think The Sun is below them wouldn't go for a cheapy holiday anyway as it wouldn't be good enough or have the snob value to tell there mates.

[Football] Another big problem with VAR

Giving clear and obvious offsides is not the problem it is the marginal fingernail ones that are causing problems and the IFAB has said VAR is not being applied correctly by English refs in the Premier.

    [Travel] Sun £9.50 holidays

Presumably it is a deal where the site owners cover the cost generally to get the business and the £9.50 paid by readers cover The Suns costs, so the deal costs The Sun nothing. I suppose similar to us allowing children in free and relying on what dad spends in the bar.

    [Travel] Sun £9.50 holidays

I do not need to buy or read The Sun as we had a voucher code sent by e mail to book as we had booked last year.

[Football] Another big problem with VAR

My son and I were just saying VAR should have intervened and given a free kick to Everton for offside. Had Liverpool scored a good goal from the corner would they have wiped it out because of the offside and the corner shouldnt have been given?

[Cricket] 2nd Test Match South Africa v England

If the remaining batsmen can revert back to their 1 day mode and knock off a quick 120 by just after lunch that should be enough to win.

There are 2 or 3 near St Malo and a couple near Brest. So taking your words may settle for St Malo which also means not much driving after coming off of the boat.

    [Travel] Sun £9.50 holidays

The parking fine is still being contested and the £100 for the extra stop over wouldn't have been had we chose to stay at the site rather than halfway home to find that Enterprise had repossessed the pub we had booked at. Nobody would have known that . However you learn by your mistakes...

The vouchers started in the paper yesterday so am looking at a 4 day break in Brittany. Has anybody any been there and have knowledge of what it is like. We need a quiet place with shops, restaurants and bars not disco type bars.
