I suspect that journalists have tried quite hard to identify the source of Blooms funds. The fact that no one has (and he has failed to confirm) means that his wealth is either incredibly well hidden or that he is a front man (with some money of his own) for other investors funds.
He is not a bad player but was poor today. He is incredibly one footed which is one reason he takes so long to turn - and is the reason he doesnt get his head up. As stated above he has no pace but he looked slow to the ball today and got out muscled along with most of the team.
My fault but I have only just realised Park and Ride is not inlcuded in the ticket price for tomorrow and has to be purchased IN ADVANCE for £5. This is difficult as the link to do this online links to a page that contains no information on this.
Anyone else in a similar situation - or have any...
There is no easy way out of where we are at the moment. Basically we are uncompetitive because we dont work hard enough. We are at economic war with the rest of the world and we no longer have a large technological advantage. We need to cut taxes and massively reduce the welfare state to...
Whether or not this thread was initially created or sustained by Palace trolling - it is healthy for Albion fans to question where the money comes from. There are numerous examples of clubs where fans did not question hard enough (Palace, Pompey etc).
We all assume the money comes from Bloom as...
Sorry to repeat what I have previously but although no one can deny the stadium has been built and paid for and the training ground is being built (and will presumably be paid for) by Tony Bloom, the actual source of the money has never been made clear. In the style of Mr Benetez:
Fact - it did...
Saw this incident yesterday as a passer by and can not comment on the details except that there it looked like it was being handled well.
Anyway - joined queue for Mithras House bus and a bloke stands next to me and suddenly doubles up, goes purple and says he cant breathe. He was obvoiusly in...
Difficult. He clearly needs matches. We need to win matches. He is our best player. He is very unlikely to be here next season. I would say risk him in a 5 man midfield and drop CMS. He can arse about as much as he likes and do 5 minutes of brilliant stuff.
I think this is correct. He cant hold the ball up, has poor control and is never going to run away from a defender following a through ball. I am not sure why playing 2 up front means we are going for it. As far as I can see we are most creative where we can pass it around in midfield and...
You don't have to work within FFP. You can work outside it and take the fines. If we are still in the Championship next season I would prefer clubs like Wigan, Reading and Villa to be relagated rather than QPR who I suspect will spend big at least one more time to get back.
He did play well today and has been playing well recently but he is laughably one footed and he does has a pace problem. Does well for his limitations though.
I think they bring their own pillows to sleep on at hotels - so presume this was a chance to collect them all up before leaving. I have no proof of this theory.
Correct. Hammond is a good Championship central midfielder. (which is a much higher level than I ever got to). With two feet he could be an excellent Championship midfielder (or even play in the Prem). He obviously had talent and ability. Pity he didn't use it to the full.
IMO it was definately 3-5-2 to start with. As previously stated above it didnt work and it was obvious very early on (within 5 mins) that it wasn't going to work. The main reason I think it didnt work is that the players are used to certain patterns of passing and movement especially at the...
Correct - the reason for this is because he is so completely one footed - so when go clockwise he has tap it repeatedly with the outside of his right foot. If Gus is such a great coach - surely it would not be beyond him to teach him to kick with his left.
