I think the bus that Chelsea offered was coated in diamonds. Basingstoke told Todd that’s just too TACKY. He is on record as saying that he will pay £100m next Summer.
I think it illustrates how immersed in the club he and his family were. Like me with my family cricket club except he then went on to become their best player as well. It’s a shame that kind of connection and the time he spent developing at that club can’t be rewarded.
It says ‘connected’ not ‘coached.’ I think they have a point about the system. Coaching doesn’t begin when a player joins a PL academy at 16 years old.
Wigan was certainly a joyous occasion but in terms of backing for the team Sheff Wed was the loudest I have seen at the Amex. It probably had something to do with the feeling that we had little chance after the 1st leg and it was a match too far for that team after the exertions at Boro...
But we wouldn’t have Fati coming in or Pedro, Gilmour etc etc. People were saying similar about keeping players when we sold Bissouma and Cucurella. If we hadn’t then Caicedo and Estupinan wouldn’t have happened. Football teams evolve.
Ok, no problem, it’s never great to be misunderstood. Perhaps though try to understand why it gets a bit bit wearing for those of us who have made our lives away from Sussex to hear the same old crap. Seeing people being passionate about their football club really doesn’t mean they have nothing...
You’re right. Nice of Arsenal to f*** up so I get to see a close up of Man U celebrating a goal after touching the ball for the first time in 25 minutes ! Green it is.
I ‘pretend’ to live up north….that’s a bit weird. I am not offended in the slightest. I am just giving ‘a point of view based on experience’ (your words). My view is backed up by actual knowledge though. You just come across as a bit ignorant. Not alone in that on here I suppose.
Interesting discussion on the respective volume levels of the two sets of fans. Personally, I don’t give a monkeys. I didn’t really notice any of you on my tv screen. Too busy watching the people playing football.
This. Some people so much time worrying about players and managers leaving in the FUTURE that they seem unable to enjoy the PRESENT. Enjoy it. It will not last forever.
Strange though, isn’t it. Apparently it’s fine once having been good but now shit (Maguire) but developing into a better player over time (the normal way) like Solly doesn’t fit the wacky Southgate plan.
