I was tempted by the new sleeper trains to Berlin but the prices are just eye watering. I do have a few long distance train journeys when heading out to the Rugby World Cup though.
Sorry to hear that and thanks for the reply.
Covid hit me and my missus quite hard both health and confidence wise and we struggled initially to go back to what we were doing before but have almost got back there bit by bit (although I still have long Covid). We did change a few things though...
If it’s not a silly question, how does that work from a watching football perspective? If I hated crowds, I think I would hate the experience of a live game, certainly one with 32,000 people there at least.
That’s interesting, I get motion sickness on a train, a boat, in a car but never (so far) when flying. I flew Friday to Monday to the Rugby World Cup final in Yokohama in 2019. The game was s**t but almost the best thing about it was the flight, even though I was on a plane for 35 hours in 4...
Take a copy of your insurance along too! I have previously found that to be very useful, and if you are clued up on your cancellation rights you often know a lot more than the airline staff do!
On a similar note, has the whole 90 days/180 Brexit rule impacted you in terms of using your home in Spain? Do you just work around it or that rule didn’t change anything too much for you either because of how much you use it or due to residency status? Don’t answer anything that’s too...
I actually really enjoy flying and the airport experience, once through security. Been to 90+ countries and plenty of them multiple times.
To enjoy it more I try to park within walking distance of the terminal, if possible and generally only if it’s a short haul flight, pre-book a seat...
I did hear it said that instead of killing Bin Laden, they should have made him go through airport security on a perpetual cycle, enough punishment for anyone I would think!
I had some flower seeds with a previous Albion+ membership and planted them under the tree outside our house. They were magnificent (for a while at least)!
I shall be at Old Trafford, got tickets for every day so really looking forward to it! I did have tickets for the T20 final too but even I admit there’s only so much cricket you can watch so my Hampshire mate has been happy to take them off my hands!
My first visit to Berlin was in 1978 as part of a 2 week holiday to the old GDR with my parents/sisters. It has given me a lifelong Ostalgia and I try to get back there regularly and lap up any decent books/films on the subject or just set in that era.
I saw 2 Copenhagen games last season. The first was good, but freezing cold! The second was the last game of the season and I bit like a friendly with nothing on it and the crowd not so interested. Easy enough to get tickets though.
