Just bought a new (very old) house in Dorset. Moving in in April. Small town garden with good bones but very little stock of worth. North and South facing walls. Very overlooked. Will happily share the renovation journey on here.
Only work done is prune back a very out of shape box hedge...
Exploring Emotional Overdraft
Talking to people who run a business about how they handle stress and the pressure.
This episode is fantastic - and so revealing. The guest went to some dark places. It's worth a listen...
Did the woman have id matching the name on the parcel?
Did your mum snap a copy of it on her phone and a pic of the caller?
Did caller have proof of address and if so, was she local or was it obvious how address issue happened?
If not, your mum could have either returned the item or if not...
I've noticed a few people on here complaining about the price of "real" bread (and not having a go at you @rippleman ), but what do you expect?
We've got so used to mass produced, long shelf life, highly processed, loss leading non-food that we think £4 for a loaf of real bread is expensive...
I only run on roads because of my dodgy rugby knees, but I might start running off road because it opens up a lot of new avenues (so to speak). Do you use different trainers for trail running?
And apols if there are too many questions.
Thank you for that Bozza. So interesting and not TLDR. Sorry to hear about your heart.
I do a "long" run each weekend (c. 10 miles) and a "fast" 5k midweek (currently 26 minutes or so). Sounds like I need to run more often and add hills. There's plenty of those in Dorset.

Mrs CBH always declines a bun when I am making them, and then ALWAYS decides she wants some once I have made one. And she always takes the half with the cross on it. I now don't know if I actually prefer, the half with the cross or if I just have FOMO.
Reading the chart, everyone seems to be doing pretty speedy half marathons (compared to me). I'm 58, heavier than I should be but not fat any more and have never been a runner - started a couple of years ago. I love it, but am wondering how I get a bit faster. At the moment, I can't see how I'd...
Running the London Landmarks Half in early April. I'm no runner, but running with my brother for the first time will be very special.
Last, and only, time I did a half (Bournemouth in Oct 2022) I went out way too fast and paid the price at the end. I had been aiming for under 2 hours (I know -...
Not quite though. I've been in the away end plenty of times, but the unwritten rule is you sit on your hands and shut up. When you start giving it large, you will get booted out.
