[News] Rail fares in England and Wales to increase by up to 5.9% in March

To be fair the system in Sweden is also much more lax. The train from the airport to Stockholm Central was supposed to be something like £20 each each way. We did a group thing to get it down to £15 and upon exiting the train realised there were no barriers anywhere so we hadn't used our...

[News] Rail fares in England and Wales to increase by up to 5.9% in March

No it's not at all. I commute twice a week Chichester to London and am always able to get a seat. The trains only really start filling up at East Croydon and by then you're 20 minutes from central London anyway.

[News] Rail fares in England and Wales to increase by up to 5.9% in March

From what I understand Amazon UK operate as a contractor to Amazon EU so that they fulfill the orders on behalf of the EU branch and operate at a "loss" so they don't have to pay any taxes.

[News] Rail fares in England and Wales to increase by up to 5.9% in March

I have to commute from Chichester to London twice a week. £44 a day for a return that's usually late or cancelled.

[News] Rail fares in England and Wales to increase by up to 5.9% in March

I was in Stockholm in May and the trains + metro were so efficient and easy. Other countries make a mockery of our public transport.

[News] Rail fares in England and Wales to increase by up to 5.9% in March

Well that's just not true at all. Using a train emits on average 6x less greenhouse gas emissions.

[Albion] The Ridiculous Tedious Striker Situation

Are you talking about Domenico Berardi who RDZ previously managed? He's one of the players I'd most like to see in a Brighton shirt but I very much doubt we'd be able to sign him. He's been at Sassuolo his whole career except a weird time where Juventus co-owned him but he still played for...

    [TV] The Traitors - BBC

It's the same as Mafia which can be played with a normal deck of cards easily enough. Also there's an online browser based game called Town of Salem which does the same thing but with many roles added.

[Music] Headphones 2022... State of The Nation

I use Bose Noise Cancelling 700s I got with my phone and they're great. Wireless, really good sound, great noise cancelling you can adjust and incredible battery life, would highly recommend. For stuff where over ears aren't practical I have a pair of Pixel Buds which are pretty decent...

[Albion] Charlton Athletic vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

It's hard to create clear cut chances against a low block but we still made a decent number. Also there were a number of low crosses players just didn't quite connect with, I remember one going through someone's legs and another missed their swing.

Probably because it is impeded by the goalkeeper so you can't just roll it in at 1mph. You have to get it on target and past the keeper which leads to risks

[Albion] More rail strike (Jan) & can Amex travel sustain the affects of rail strikes long term?

It's far more sustainable than everyone driving to the Amex and parking, sitting in traffic with the engine idling for hours.

    [Football] Messi GOAT?

Ronaldinho isn't even in the debate for best player of all time. He's the greatest entertainer but as an overall player he wasn't good enough. Zidane was also a bit of a hot and cold player, he had so many good moments it overwrites the times he was off form.

    [Football] Messi GOAT?

My favourite part of the Cruyff career is the end. Ajax deemed him not good enough anymore so didn't offer him a new contract which angered him. He then went to Feyenoord and won the league and cup double with them instead, winning Dutch footballer of the year in the process.

[Albion] Alexis Mac Allister - *** New Contract Until 2025 ***

He's statistically one of the best tacklers in Europe this season and his interception stats are right up there too. He's turned into a ball playing ball winning midfielder.

    [Music] Albums of the year

Whilst not the best album of the year, perhaps the most FUN album of the year is Tekkno Train by Electric Callboy. The band is just insanely fun and know how to write a banger.
