[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Southampton *** Official Match Thread ***

Please, please, please win. Please. Please. Everyone going make noise. Make noise like the sheffield wednesday play off game. Make the noise that will propel us into Europe. Europe! f***ing Europe! It's one win away! So please, scream, shout, clap, chant the team to victory. Please!

    [Albion] Premier League 20-22/5/23

I agree. I really, really want Europe too and will be gutted if we don't get it, especially if we lose out by a few points to spurs. But the worst case scenario makes me feel more at ease about it.

    [Albion] Premier League 20-22/5/23

Bit melodramatic there Icy. It's hardly May 3rd 1997. Worse case scenario is we finish the season with a record number of wins in a top flight season, most points in a top flight season and highest ever club finish. Not quite hell. :)

    [Albion] Cameron Peupion

Lovely video. It's a great moment for him and all his family. But also, what a view from his parents(?) living room!

[Albion] Newcastle United vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Disappointing scoreline but deserved result unfortunately. It was always going to be tough, even more so when the team sheet was announced. That isn't a criticism of the individual players or those that came in by the way. It's just a tough ask when not only have you got players coming in...

[Football] Trouble At West Ham Match In The Netherlands

What would happen if the palace always ultras had a game against Alkmaar? Would one set of fans have to wear away colours instead of their black pajamas?

[Albion] Moises Caicedo and Alexis MacAllister nominated for PL Young Player of the Year

Yeah but I think 23 is probably a bit too old as well. Seems to me that the 'reserves' are now U-21 so the young player award should go to someone young enough to play in that category. That's not to take anything away from Mac Callister.

[Albion] Moises Caicedo and Alexis MacAllister nominated for PL Young Player of the Year

I mean, it's Haaland. If you're nominated for the senior award you shouldn't be in the young one imo. Also ally Mac is 24. Isn't that a bit old for young player?

[Albion] Newcastle away: would you take a point?

Yes. A win would be magnificent but a point could be very useful. A point against Newcastle would mean we'd only need a point against Southampton and Man City to put us out of reach of Villa/Spurs if one of those lost their next game. Which means feet up against Villa final day and maybe a...

[Albion] Can we talk about Sanchez ?

Depends on what option A is. There is always a choice but sometimes it's not much of one. I have no idea of what's happened. I would be surprised (and very disappointed) though if it was as straight forward as Sanchez having a strop because he's not playing and refusing to be on the...

[Albion] Can we talk about Sanchez ?

Disappointing. Hope we get a good fee for him. I'm not going to put the boot in though as we have no idea what's happened. Has Sanchez refused to train/play or has he been exiled? Saying: He decided everything. Robert decided everything at the moment. He wanted it this way (not traveling to...

    [Albion] Jason Steele for England?

If England were ever to look at him then this summer would be the time. Two games against Malta and North Macedonia means that even if for some bizarre reason he (as the third choice keeper) ended up playing there wouldn't be too much added pressure beyond playing for your country. Bearing in...

    [Albion] Enzo Le Fee

I hadn't heard of him prior to this thread but on the basis of one highlight video I WANT him at the Albion. Looks like a nippier, smaller version of Gross to me. Stick him anywhere in midfield and watch the magic unfold. How much would he actually cost? Is he even plausibly within what we...

    [Albion] Losing Macalister & Caicedo

Arsenal/premier league finances/spending is another interesting side discussion. I've had a quick google but haven't found anything consistent. From what I've seen Arsenal's spending doesn't look too out of place for the size of club they are. On topic, even with 250m I'm still not convinced...

    [Albion] Losing Macalister & Caicedo

We'll have to wait and see. Personally I just can't see them spending that much on two players when they'd still need several more.

[Football] Did Arsenal bottle the league?

I agree that the rest of the big boys don't have a leg to stand on in terms of their challenge this season. It's also an overall positive season for Arsenal, they've taken a big step forward but in the context of how they've ended up second it can only be seen as 'bottling' it. Harsh term...

[Football] Did Arsenal bottle the league?

That's essentially bottling it isn't it? Couldn't deal with the pressure. They could win when there wasn't any pressure but when the finishing line and title were in sight, when City started putting a run of wins together they folded.

    [Albion] Losing Macalister & Caicedo

Yeah, there should be no way Ally Mac plays as a ten for Liverpool. Put him as part of a midfield two or three and he'll be excellent. I suspect Klopp won't be as accommodating as RDZ on that point.

Who's paying 100m for Caicedo this summer?

[Albion] I'm a Newcastle fan and

This is roughly how I see it. If we can get through the opening period level we're in with a decent chance of a result. It's a big if though, we could be several goals down by then if our ball retention in and around our box isn't spot on. If we defend like we did against Everton we'll be...
