    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

Train home last night changed at East Croydon the Palace fans I meet weren't that impressed with the performance. In my local one fan said he left just after half time at Chelsea away as the performance was so disjointed but a positive was it was an improvement against Brentford but looked weak...

    [Albion] Pubs for tomorrow

Most will go to the cricket club, couple of years ago a lot of the pubs were "No away fans". Be good to get a decent recommendation, must be something between the station and ground.

[Football] Crystal Palace appoint Patrick Vieira as their new manager

I am presuming they won't want to retain too many of the out of contract players. He probably wants to bring in new players and start with his style / type of players. Loads of work to be done in a short period of time.

[Football] SOUTHGATE: I'm finally heating up a MASSIVE humble pie.

Credit where it's due however I still struggle with two holding midfielders. Against the Germans you could argue that Southgate played five at the back and two holding which potentially is dull. His initial squad selection was strange with all the full backs and took a huge gamble on the...

[Football] Crystal Palace appoint Patrick Vieira as their new manager

To have a fire sale they need assets to sell, the only contracted asset is Zaha. More chance of a fire without the sale.

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2021/22 Edition

A lot of talk locally that the Holding Company is a Singaporean based property company. So sad that the club was split into two a few years ago with Whyteleafe FC effectively hiring the pitch off the landlord. Whyteleafe basically handed over the only asset being ground to then then Chairman...

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2021/22 Edition

For years the club was run by a group of half dozen who did everything, sadly they have passed. Albion used the facility for an academy for a few years much to the annoyance of some of the locals......

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2021/22 Edition

I don't know the full details, it's a strange one, both Whyteleafe junior sections and ladies have agreed terms with the new owners for the forthcoming season but the seniors haven't for whatever reasons. Seems to be a previous unpaid debt which remains unpaid, the new owners are getting a...

Dishing caps out like confetti, caps are hard earned and yet England are happy to reward mediocre cricketers.

[Football] Which of your mates supports the lowest league placed club?

About six blokes from my local pub follow Whyteleafe home and away, really have loads of passion for the club they have flags and songs and really get behind the team "Leafe Army" . They have even set up a Twelfth Man Fund to help the players with wages / expenses. Fair play to them.

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

I thought Cooper had stated a desire to get Swansea promoted "third time lucky". Nuno wanted to bring too many backroom staff and his demands were too great. Dyche has agreed budgets, ect with the American owners and is staying put at Burnley. Rumour was John Terry was interviewed yesterday...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

The word on the streets of East Surrey yesterday was that John Terry was being interviewed for the vacancy. Just a rumour probably, sure someone said it was mentioned on Talksport. Don't shoot the messenger.

[Other Sport] Golf - do you play?

I'm a proper high handicapper, last round I was five over through the first five holes and then went ten and nine on the next two holes. Love playing just don't have the time hence being inconsistent. It's something I'd think about doing more when I retire, would probably need lessons but the...

    [Football] Arsenal’s Ben White

Not so sure on Lingard, we have enough flair in the squad, Sako looked good and proved his worth which was a bonus. Thought we looked weak in defence and White's versatility could give him the nod either in a three a four or holding midfield which I feel is his best position.

[Football] Zaha watch - *** The SEGW finally managed to escape***

£40 million isn't going to build a team with twelve out of contract. He ain't going anywhere, Palace will further extend his contract and increase his wages. With Eze out they are stuffed on options to build a new team.
