I (and most other people) went from never having got off at Falmer station in my life to using it once a fortnight in winter. Do you think the pennies raised that way are anything like what would be needed to pay for a major infrastructure building project ? And why should that be the demand...
The poster I replied to is always moaning about having to pay for stuff. You’re right though that everybody else is frustrated by the infrastructure capacity. I have just been saying that isn’t really in the control of the club to sort out and I’m not actually sure who should foot the bill for...
:) No, pretty good though isn’t it. Just a reminder that most fans are a lot worse off than us. It’s a reality check. If we had no investment and were shit we could be Tranmere. No transport worries there at all :sneaky:. There also won’t be any transport issues when we do go to shit and crowds...
You were given a 30000 seat stadium for free, a football team good enough to compete with the best and heavily discounted season tickets. Perhaps you should pay for your own train ticket ?
In the SE of England you have the best transport infrastructure in the country and it was plenty good enough for Falmer until somebody built a PL football stadium next to the station. Nobody should expect it to be rebuilt to cope with 30000 football fans. There are lots of competing uses for...
Very unfair. The travel constraints were well understood when we accepted our shiny and free new ground. Do you expect theatres to ‘give the tiniest shit’ if the audience is affected by road traffic delays ? They will do what they can but it’s up to you to get there and back and up to them them...
He’s gets abuse from away fans everywhere he goes according to my Leicester supporting source. I was at the Tranmere league cup game a few weeks ago (in the home end obvs) and the Kop spent most of the game taunting him. There were particularly loud renditions of ‘Jamie Vardy, you’re wife is a...
Come on, that’s a bit sensitive. If Dunk felt the need to have a word then you can’t blame others (fans) for also commenting, particularly the ones at the game. The crowd has such an important role to play in giving our players the freedom to take risks. It’s not a big deal but you can’t expect...
Thank you, that’s a really kind message and appreciated. You’re right, East Anglia does feel like a life time ago. So much has happened since, including giving up our Season Tickets which has been a huge adjustment. Maybe that’s why I’m over thinking this travel thing for the Marseille game...
Yeah, but the players seem to understand….against all the odds…
Ps and on a serious note, nobody takes IQ tests anymore as they are meaningless as a measure of intelligence. We have moved on from the 1960s.
It’s a game of opinion and I respect yours. I have highlighted your last sentence as you are making a completely separate but obviously true statement.
Legend is an over used word in football. Decent full back and seemed like a nice bloke. I don’t care how he left but he never really qualified for ‘legend’ in the first place.
He wasn’t solving the same problem. At Man U they looked like scoring 2 or 3 goals in those first 20 minutes. He had a defensive problem to solve and quickly. Sounds like at Bournemouth there wasn’t much fundamental that needed changing so it was just a case of having patience with the method...
We are already rotating and it’s fine. Like the other teams in Europe we have a big enough squad to cope with multiple changes between games without the need to play lots of untried players at once.
