[Albion] Brentford Home 1st April does not need moving (there are trains)

Signalling staff have voted to accept a deal, and RMT have a meeting with the rail companies tomorrow about on train staff. So yes, entirely possible everything will be resolved by the 1st.

[Albion] It's nice to be nice

Possibly the only time I've ever applauded the away team off, and they really deserved it. Fans and players absolute credits to their club, and it's been lovely seeing so many Grimsby fans praise everything about the game.

[Brighton] Only one additional win (3points) is required for Brighton to play in Champions League next season

Chelsea and Spurs away will be significant challenges. Chelsea will have all the motivation they need from the reverse fixture (plus are far better at home), and Spurs will badly want Champions League.

[Football] Leandro Trossard **Sold To Arsenal 20/01/2023**

This is pretty much my view. All reports make it seem he didn't want to be here and had fallen out with some key squad members as well as RdZ. Even if it was fixable, there's no guarantee we'd have got the version of Trossard that Arsenal have anyway

[Football] New Premier League shirt font and logo from 2023/24

I guess my concern would be if the backgroundless lion peels more easily? Don't want it dying in the wash

[Albion] Chelsea v Brighton International Women's Day fixture

42 goals conceded across 12 games is absolutely criminal honestly. We don't score many, but neither does anyone else in midtable. Fix the terrifyingly leaky ship and we'll likely be ok. Particularly if we can target Reading in a few games

[Albion] Chelsea v Brighton International Women's Day fixture

Should have been 2-1 without a doubt, that penalty call is awful. Yes, a Chelsea player had a swing at the ball when Kerr was back onside but was miles from connecting. We were much better second half. No idea what’s gonna happen in terms of management, 10 games plus the FA Cup is a long time...

[Football] Doing Southampton away (Grimsby - FA Cup 5th round)

They do offer a very good bus service direct, think it's about £3 return and departs from the south side of the station

    [Albion] Stadium Access Cards 23/24

Making it opt out rather than opt in would, I suspect, annoy far more people. We'd have floods of people complaining after they forgot to opt out of the add ons

    [Albion] Stadium Access Cards 23/24

I understand that the cost is largely as a disincentive, but I think the current admin (having to actually contact the club etc...) is probably a pretty effective barrier to entry and I'm not sure that the cost really raises that barrier much higher. I'd be pretty interested to know exactly how...

[Albion] Paul Barber and Bennet's Field.

On the one hand, yes. On the other the stadium was designed when we were a League 1 club and the idea of a SECOND stadium would have seemed absolutely ridiculous. And it wasn't even our land

[Albion] Paul Barber and Bennet's Field.

Just barely. It'd be too tight to really be worth it. I mean you could fit a pitch, but not very much around the pitch. I'm aware they're a bit wonky, but the scale should be about right

    [Albion] Lost tickets

Yup have given them an email and says they begin monitoring from midday, so hopefully will hear back

    [Albion] Lost tickets

So had Palace tickets, remember having them in my hand. Can not find them today and phone line for ticket is closed. Anyone got any idea what I can do? Others must have had similar situation? Yes I’m a f***ing idiot, I’m very aware

[Albion] Will Brighton be allowed to play in Europe?

Red Bull basically bought out a 5th tier non-league club's playing rights. They were low enough down that they don't fall under the league's ownership rules. They then got promoted up pretty rapidly (5th to 1st division in 8 seasons). Think they even came 2nd in their first top flight season

[Albion] Will Brighton be allowed to play in Europe?

No, City is owned by City Football Group and ultimately Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who's part of the Abu Dhabi and Dubai royal families (as well as being deputy PM of the UAE). PSG is owned by Qatar Sports Investment, which is basically the Qatari state itself (notably the finance ministry and...

[Other Sport] Official NFL Thread 2022/23

Kansas City hosting 5 consecutive AFC Championship games is genuinely very impressive, but their current 2-2 record isn't exactly great. As a Bengals fan, hoping for 2-3

Bills never really got going after the early touchdowns from the Bengals. Very strong performance from the Bengals and Burrow, just looked like absolute monsters on several drives

[Football] WSL: Chelsea v Liverpool is called off after six minutes due to frozen pitch

I don’t even really object to games being called off. It’s frustrating but I understand it. But the way it’s been handled is deeply unprofessional and very poor. Referee for the Chelsea game reportedly said at 9.30am the pitch wasn’t playable, yet they tried to play and then called it off...
