Sorry, one other question: Would you recommend rear wheels.? Looking at the Fox, I can get it without wheels for £845 and with wheels for £925. I don't mind spending the extra £80 if it makes it better to use but then maybe there is a reason why most don't have them?
14 voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across Sussex have calculated the additional costs of the NI increases will total £1,827,000.

Totally agree that council tax should rise. But why ‘complacent smug old folk’? A bit childish or bitter or both.
A few people on here forget that we all will be, or at least aspire to be, old one day.
Thank you. I'm not sure his wife knows much and this is planned as a surprise so cant ask him. Pretty sure he doesn't do matches, more leisure/day based. I gather its a case of struggling with his manual barrow now so I guess he's going to the next stage of old age a little sooner than you!

I want to buy an electric coarse fishing barrow for a member of staff's 10 year service gift. His wife tells me this is 'what he would love' but she doesn't know anything about them. I have never picked up a fishing rod and am equally clueless!

Leaving the expense aside (which is probably prohibitive) I thought turning the south into safe standing would be a good idea as part of creating a new group of people who want to create atmosphere. The advantage over the north would be that no existing season ticket holder would have their nose...
Not really, because as I suggested earlier the s and d situation is so broken, only direct market intervention will bring the availability and price of rental property to a sustainable level.
I threw out an idea in my OP that is clearly, by the reaction on here, a non starter. But the idea that...
Fair comment.
It just seems unfair that many people ( me included) are sitting on significant equity for basically being in the right place at the right time rather than through hard work or entrepreneurship, whilst so many younger people are struggling to afford anywhere to buy or rent.
Taking todays headline of c 5% annual increase in house prices, paying say a tax of 10% of that increase (not the whole house value) to help solve the housing crises for those not fortunate enough to be born in the right decades, have parents that were or are amongst the very highest earners...
Agree. What I was trying to say that in this case increasing the supply sufficiently is an almost impossible task - at least in the sort and medium term. Therefore to make housing affordable we have to have state intervention that will make renting affordable and the state will need build houses...
When I did my economics degree, the law of supply and demand was fundamental to every theory that followed. But there were examples where even this model failed when either the supply side or demand side got way, way, out of kilter. World food supply and demand was (still is) an example...
