Only my second correct prediction of the season - it had a defeat with no goals for us written all over it. I nearly went for 3-0 Arsenal but thought they would take their foot off the gas and stroll it after the second , which they didnt as they nearly had a third !
If the Club aren't going to invest in really strengthening the squad , and still persist with playing the likes of Lallana & Milner, then perhaps a season out of Europe is a better option for us.
Was expecting Palace to get something at The Etihad today - its a happy hunting ground for them and Citeh have been poor recently in the League and also without Haaland. Tough game for us on Thursday - I would be happy with a point.
Nowadays I'm always really upset when we exit the Cups (FA semi last year ) as I believe we have a real possibility of winning one. To be realistic we can't win the League we are in but a Cup would be amazing.
I asked exactly the same question on another thread when the graph was shown. The answer is that we have played more games than them in 2023 and therefore on average they have scored more goals per game than us.
Why are Newcastle placed above us if they have picked up less points than us this year ?
An amazing showing for us considering the injuries we have and the money spent by those just above us (and below us)
Such a shame that these two were drawn against each other. I had to go for Father Ted but I love the gentleness of the Detectorists (not Metal Detectors !)
