Excellent post.
I think he felt that he was being criticised personally when we had some bad results, and wanted to try and point out the injuries and it wasn't his fault, justifiably, and it just came across as moaning. Managers have to take it on the chin though, he was always a bit...
Didn't expect to wake up to this today.
Not really sure how to feel, I was absolutely gutted when Poyet left, and never warmed to Oscar. I was gutted when Potter left, but RDZ helped me get over that quickly. Whereas when CH left it felt sad but understandable, and i think I'm in that same...
Yep. The way i would do it is to get rid of the 'Stockley Park HQ' and officiate everything inside the stadium. The ref already consults with the linesmen when he wants to. He is already fitted with a mic and earpiece and talking to the 4th official. So just have that 4th official, who does...
I don't think it had any bearing on the match really. They scored pretty soon after the penalty anyway, so the game would just have gone into the 0-1 pattern a little earlier. Their disallowed goal was disallowed on the pitch, so no change there. Then the James kick out - the ref saw it, im...
Slightly different though? Arsenal win the league fairly regularly, whereas Palace doing so would be seismic. And win or lose, nothing changes with the rivalry. Theres always something to hang your hat on from both sides.
And really the point is not so much that the spurs fans wanted to lose ...
I think you've deflected the point. Spurs have done well this year and Ange looked to be building something good. He maybe still will, but certainly theres been a big falling out with the fans over the differing attitudes to the game last night, and while Arsenal won't win the league they can...
It's so very spursy. The manager calls out the fans and people inside the club, the fans are livid at the manager, the manager has had a bustup with a player or two, the atmosphere is a mess and the fallout from this game will haunt them for a while. All for what? You weren't beating City anyway...
They had that with Solskjaer, knows values, nice, approachable etc. - he didn't do that badly really, but his coaching skills aren't top level. Southgate - similar I suppose?
Oh blimey. I mean, its maths and logic isn't it, where do feelings come into it? The gravitational constant doesn't care how anybody feels about it, does it? :shrug:half full, half empty, its all just half of what could be a whole. Lets make it bigger!
* but I get your point ;)
I don't understand the question? A half-full glass is identical to a half-empty one. My glass is probably three-quarters full at least (or a quarter-empty, if you prefer)
Pascal may well be able to get a move to Leverkusen or Dortmund or Stuttgart, and with it a trip to the champions league. Would not begrudge him that at all.
