Just over £2.3m a year basic pay is a LOT of money for a club of our side but it goes to show Stephens importance to the team and it would probably have cost us significantly more to replace him. A great bit of business.

Pitch was absolutely superb, it looked like the start of the season, not the end, although the warm sunshine helped it look even better.

Good luck to him, he deserves his chance to put himself and his family on the securest possible financial footing and we have a lot to thank him for. At least we don't have to keep speculating, he's made it clear he is leaving with his Twitter post (good on him for that), so we can move on and...

I watched him closely yesterday. Uses his obvious strength really well to shield the ball, has great pace and gets good tackles in. He hoofed the ball a few times though so i agree with the comments his passing needs to be improved but he has bags of potential and could definitely do a job next...

I'd go: Stockers Bruno, Dunk, Hunnemier, Poco March Sidwell Stephens Knocky Murray and Baldock Murphy, Kayal and Hemed on the bench give us decent attacking options if needed.
