Bruno.....Hunemier......Dunk......Bong
Knockaert......Sidwell......Stephens......Murphy
Murray.......Baldock
Subs: Maenpaa, Rosenior,Timori,March, Skalak, Norwood, Towell

I was very impressed with Towell's goal for the U23s and so would put him on the bench rather than Akpom or Kayal in case we need a goal or Baldock doesn't last long.

There's a Karma here if Jamie scores the goal that wins the league given that he didn't make it on to the pitch in the game against Sheff Wed last year.

That would round off a really special and brilliant season for Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Haven't seen one of these started yet, so

-------------------------------Stockdale--------------------------------
Bruno-----Hunemeier-------------------Dunk---------Pocognoli
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Knockaert-------Sidwell--------------Stephens-----------March
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------Murray--------Baldock------------------------

That should be able to beat a Villa side supposedly missing Hutton, Jedinak, Agbonlahor & Kodija

Would be happy with this , although would like to see Rosenoir in

I've made a mistake on this thread BG, but you've managed to leave Hemed out of the 18 (and cut Stephens in half).
As much as I'd like to see Pocognoli start, I defer to your better judgment in leaving him out of the squad, so as he can sit on the naughty step with Hemed.

I dont know why that happens on some of the words as happened with Stephens and to be honest I missed out Hemed from the bench in error and am not sure who to drop from my subs. Towell is the obvious but watching him in the Sussex Senior Cup Final I think he could be the vital cover for Baldock if he isnt as fit as most expect and blows up. Perhaps we should drop Rosenior/Timori/ Skalak to give us more up front if needed. Nothing short of a win is needed so goals will be essential.

Perhaps if Solly started, and we got in front Villa may just slacken off or give up, rather than coming on as an impact sub. on this occasion.

The only problem with Solly starting, is the teeny weeny fact that when he starts, he's shitehouse.

If Baldock has climbed off his deathbed let Murphy run at them and into the box, then bring Solly on to run down the line and cross for Murray and the substitute Hemed.

I'd go:

Stockers
Bruno, Dunk, Hunnemier, Poco
March Sidwell Stephens Knocky
Murray and Baldock

Murphy, Kayal and Hemed on the bench give us decent attacking options if needed.

Wise words

Good point. I wouldn't. And I wouldn't have Sidwell in the starting 11 and on the bench. I meant Kayal for Sidwell. It generated some traffic for NSC though.

Lol yep me too. Kayal not at his best of late but still will take the game to Villa more than Sidwell. We are not playing for a good away point

Indeed - our best team after Duffy's injury

A while back on here I was muttering about the importance these days of an impact sub.
Lua Lua often did the bizzo for us and in Solly March we have a brilliant impact sub, so I suggested that would be his best position for us at the moment.
I got slated.

Of course, becuase there are some clowns on here
