Won’t happen.
Fully expecting Potter to take a job where he can rebuild his reputation at a club like West Ham, and for him to then succeed Southgate at England.
I disagree. One of the key reasons Rodgers found it hard this season is because Leicester need a complete rebuild. They’re full of players who are either coming to the end of their careers (Vardy & Evans) or are on the way out (Tielemans and Maddison). They didn’t replace either Fofanna or...
The surprising thing is that they’re another club who’s pulled the trigger without having someone lined up ready to take over.
They’re leaving Rodgers assistants to take over for their game against Villa in a couple of days. They’re not even sure if they want a permanent manager now or to wait...
They can change manager but it won’t change things much until the underlaying issues are rectified. Their poor recruitment is most to blame for their decline, not Rodgers.
You can’t lose key players like Fofana and Schmeichel, not bring in adequate replacements and expect to keep on...
The best April fools are believable.
Should have made it about a little known striker with a dodgy YouTube compilation or that we’d reignited our interest in Jizz Hornkamp.
I can’t see the prospect of working with Levy being a massive pull.
Sometimes you’re better off at a stable club, where you know you’re going to be trusted to get on with things and given freedom to make your own decisions,
Chelsea do have a much bigger budget than us, but for every Sterling on 300k there’s a Badiashile on a reported 45k a week.
It’s not guaranteed they would pay more to a player not guaranteed to play every game / be one of their most important players.
Manors contract with Shaktar expires in December. Fulham have no buy option in his loan contract, and rubbed Shaktar up the wrong way in securing that. Wouldn’t be a big surprise if they didn’t want to do business with them going forward.
Tom McGills contract expires at the end of this season, wouldn’t be surprised if he moves on given he’s just been called up for the Canadian national team.
There’s also Lorenz Ferdinand in our under 18’s who’s highly rated.
Maybe making a return to the Premier League. There’s been reports Vincent Kompany who managed him at Anderlecht wants him, with their recruitment team having watched him play for South Africa at the weekend.
He’s an international keeper who’s kept De Gea out of the Spain squad. He’s also been scouted by Chelsea and other clubs last season, and is known to the Chelsea personnel - it’ll be odd if he wasn’t on their radar as an option.
Also recent rumour stems from Tom Roddy at The Times, who covers...
If the rumours of them wanting Sanchez are true… would either side reject a straight swap?
Chelsea have a lot of centre backs. We have Rushworth and Steele.
There’s Adringa doing very well at USG.
I think part of the big change in our loans is down to RDZ. He’s said previously that in some cases it’ll better for the players to stay and train with our first team squad. Which I think makes sense given the way we play.
