Why so much negativity? We have a good stream to watch without getting cold outside. Haines is batting well. And when Salt, Head and Jordan come into the team we won't be too bad.
It's tricky because with all the defensive injuries the only proper full back or wing back we have is Veltman, and he is needed in the back three. So I wonder if he will play Zeqiri on the left and leave out a striker.

Are you sure it wasn't the Athenian League or Isthmian League at that time?
One of my uncles played for them I think, before moving up to play for Wimbledon, who were in a higher league, probably the Southern League. That would have been in the 50s I think.
I also have a local connection. My granny lived in Gander Green Lane, so I often watched them when we visited her. I watched them at Wembley in the FA Amateur Cup final in the late 60s, against North Shields I think (or was it Bishop Auckland). They lost after the oppos brought on a new-fangled...
Before league cricket, our fixtures secretary used to arrange away fixtures on the basis of how good the teas were. Those were the days! Best to field first so that at least 9 of us could do the teas justice.

Very important to keep Lallana and Welbeck fit for the rest of the season. We are a better team with them playing.
No.
Just looked it up - wasn't easy - and all the goals came in the second half. So it beats the Walsall match for most goals in a second half! (I was at that one.)
In Pat Saward's season we won 5-3 at Shrewsbury, and I seem to recall all or most of the goals came in the first half.
Surely someone on here was there? Sadly I wasn't.
This is the real point. If we lose another defender we are in trouble with no cover. Karbo is untried and seemingly is really a midfielder. Alzate is a midfielder. We have no more defensive replacements, other than the U-23s, most of whom are also out on loan. It must be a huge worry to the club.
Very disappointing of course. But we were playing the second in the league team and would probably have drawn but for a howler by our normally dependable goalie.
After the way we played first half, there's every reason to think we can pick up some results soon. Especially if Lallana stays fit.
