I know, but presumably he doesn't have a valid Afghan passport seeing as he's claiming asylum from Afghanistan. I'm surprised he was even able to leave the UK without causing himself all sorts of issues getting back in.
With the two lads not being able to get their visas due to Pakistani heritage, despite not travelling on Pakistani passports, I made me wonder how Adan was able to travel to India. He's been granted asylum but not citizenship yet, so that doesn't give him the right to a British passport, or...
If he carries on his form from the Euros and early season for BHA, then chances are that we'll be getting offers for Bart next summer that are hard to turn down!
I remember more the 1-1 against CIty a couple of weeks later - where we still needed either a point or to not get heavily beaten to assure Europa League instead of Conference - and he kept Haaland fairly quiet all game.
I agree with this. Can’t really rate the window until we’ve seen how these players get on in the Premier League.
Too early to over excited simply based on the money we’ve splashed out. Our best ever signings have generally been players we’ve signed for less than 10m.
It makes a lot of sense. We've spent months trying to complete this deal. The last thing we need is him then going off to play 2 nations league games against Wales and Iceland next week.
I doubt FH would have been planning to use him at Arse after only one or two training sessions.
For me, the worst tackle has to be the one on Knockaert by a Watford player early in 2017/18. The distance he flew through the air to take him out is almost impressive.
Yes. It wasn't so much a tackle as a sly off-the-ball dig, if I remember correctly, and was completely missed by the ref. It was a shame as he'd had a good game that night.
Definitely move on. Some of the suggestions on here are getting silly.
Injuries where a player is out for a significant chunk of the season like this are inevitable. I reckon most clubs have 2-3 every year - we certainly do. Insurance companies exist to make money, so the insurance premiums to cover an entire squad would have to be more than the cost of paying...
I’m inclined to agree that O’Riley was just unlucky as opposed to being a target. He’s spent his last 2 seasons playing in the SPL, so facing League 1 level cloggers isn’t exactly going to be a culture shock for him.
Because a punch up is two blokes going toe to toe. It’s not like one of them has attacked the other when tempers boil over and they both go at it. Part of the game in physical sport.
