[Albion] Is it time Independent doctors at matches?

I thought that the 4th official adding time that was a more realistic reflection of the number of minutes lost to injuries, subs and VAR checks was the best development of the game over the last couple of years, with 8+ minutes not being an unusual amount of added time in the 2nd half. They seem...

[Albion] Jack Hinshelwood [9/4/24: new deal to 2028]

It's his delayed timing of arrival in the box that I like. He did it particularly well from RB last year.

[Albion] Solly March, local lad and Premier League star, is f***ing brilliant

I fear that there is a degree of over optimism that 30-year-old March is going to come back as good as was before his injury this time last year.

    [Misc] Half time proposal

Public proposals make me cringe. Also it puts unacceptable pressure on the recipient of the proposal to say yes. If you're ever thinking of making such a big romantic gesture, please reconsider.

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Nottingham Forest *** Official Match Thread ***

I haven’t been able to watch today and have the game recorded to watch later. From years of NSC reading experience, I have a feeling that your opinion may be correct and the immediate post-final-whistle comments prove to be somewhat OTT.

It doesn’t, especially when you do it on work time.

[Albion] how good are we, actually?

It took a few PL games for the team to click under RDZ - 2 draws from first 5 games before we stuffed Chelsea. And that was after he’d taken over a team that had been flying.

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers *** Official Match Thread ***

Steele is fine as a number 2 keeper playing early round cup games and being able to a job on the rare occasions that the first-choice keeper is unavailable. He’s definitely not good enough to even think about as a regular in the PL and rotating with Verbruggen though.

    [Football] Ben Brereton Díaz

It was a noticeable step up in class, even against to non-big-6 clubs, and CH certainly did a great job to keep us up. Although, all 3 promoted teams survived that season.

[Albion] Surely we must have some decent free kick takers in this squad?

Poco at QPR is the only other within the last 10 years that I remember. I has bruises on my shins for weeks after celebrations behind the goal that night.

[Albion] The timing of the pre-match GOSBTS

Do you think there was a meeting with PBOBE and various club staff like that classic scene from Sunderland til I die?

[Albion] The timing of the pre-match GOSBTS

Middlesbrough in the Sami season. (that moment where it cut off and the crowd started singing was literally the only good thing that happened that day)

    [Football] Man City PL Charges

I hope they get a significant sanction that prevents their ongoing dominance. As has been posted above, the PL is in danger of becoming like the Scottish Premiership. This would also have the benefit of setting a precedent so Chelsea will be f***ed as well. Could open up a whole can of worms...

[Politics] The 2024 US Election - *MATCH DAY*

He could have done a poo on the studio floor and 90% of current Trump voters would still intend on voting for him. All Harris needs from this debate and subsequent campaign is to change the minds of a small proportion of the remaining 10% - it's probably as little as a few thousand voters in...

[Cricket] Love the Freddy Flintoff thing with the kids

I was interested to see you take on this as I understand that you have similar experience with post-LAC children as I do. My opinion is that money helps, for sure, but when you have a child that has suffered early trauma, then it doesn't matter how wealthy the family is that they end up growing...

[Cricket] Love the Freddy Flintoff thing with the kids

I've googled this now, and although the home office will take away the passports of asylum seekers (if they have one), they can still be issued a refugee travel document - although you can't travel back to your home country. I guess similar would've applied to athletes competing on the...
