That’s true. A parent taking his son to the upper tier NW corner section….with son in full Arsenal kit ….is taking the p***. That was when we had them in an FA Cup match a few years back.
Last season at Arsenal was flat.
The players comps I do get but it’s a bit at odds with the Clubs loyalty policy and their statement about tickets being for fans that one ‘of our own’ players gives tickets to that game to his Arsenal supporting extended family and friends. In the away end...
My observations on plastic fans :
I’d imagine all of the kids & teenagers are solely BHAFC fans.
All plastic are undoubtedly grown men who didn’t realise there was a local team nearby as they didn’t play top flight football and weren’t on MotD. Or they’re DFLs.
The facts they’re grown...
So it seems the shit atmosphere is down to Mrs Veltman, Herr Gruder et al not getting pissed up and singing songs.
I don’t think you’ll find I said this. I may have said it was a flat atmosphere but I didn’t apportion this to anyone.
As for getting pissed up - I can only assume you’re making...
We spoke to Gruda’s dad. And most of the players had friends and family there.
I get it and of course they’re entitled to them but it would be interesting to know the split of away ticket holders at Anfield - STHs, 1901 STH, BHAFC members, sponsors, players / agents and competition winners...
That’s fine.
mine is with my two kids, close family and friends..we’ve had idiots/away fans in the past so lessons learnt.
To other friends and family it’s fine.
Agree, getting songs going was tricky. We had a good group of people immediately around us and we were all crammed down our row a bit to allow an elderly couple to see the match properly - sitting when they wanted to.
Some familiar faces and laughs but it certainly lacked passion and...
As long as you personally attend five home matches then the exchange system works.
But i’ve been quite seriously ill recently and getting the ‘we noticed you didn’t attend the *** match at the Amex’ emails from the Club do kind of get on my wick. They’ve got my money and, as much as they’d...
My kids go to more away games than I do these days and they said the difference between Newcastle and Liverpool was really noticeable.
I enjoyed the match on Saturday but the atmosphere was flat. I get the club want to protect the reputation of the club and make sure only loyal fans get to...
lots of players had friends and family there on Saturday. Of course i understand the Club will give an allocation to them but the atmosphere was terrible and it was like being surrounded by corporate hospitality and day trippers.
There must have been large numbers of people who didn’t have...
Well, I took it during an injury break. My contribution involved singing, hollering support etc.
But thanks for the generally snotty response.
I’ll see you in Preston.
At Anfield there were BHAFC ‘fans’ who got their phones out whenever Liverpool had a corner at our end, but not when we had one.
The passive nature of our away end was a sorry state. It’s felt almost tourist, rather than psssionate.
As for this bloke - spent most the first half with back to...
Exactly this.
It’s a campaign and we’re either in or out. Solidarity.
It’s not criticising TB. It’s acknowledging it’s occurring in the PL.
Will it start happening at BHAFC? In some guise I think so….and the other clubs will just shake their heads at the silly BHAFC fans who forgot their...
Personally we’re either in line with the other clubs and supporting their message or we’re not.
Modifying the slogan would just make a mockery of us really. The tofu eating wokery brigade vs the pie eating working class fans.
Maybe that’s too harsh but it’s going to be taken that way by...
