London Marathon Ballot day today…………………..Any NSC runners defy the odds and secure a place ?? London Marathon Events are steering those who are unsuccessful towards Brighton Marathon (which they are of course organising in ‘24). Could be a big field in Brighton!

Salomon Serpent Trail today. I did the 20k but plenty of absolute heroes taking on the 50 & 100k races. Great course, quite tough in the heat and I got my hydration strategy completely wrong (aka didn’t hydrate!), which took its toll on the last few Km. Crossed the line in 1:39:44. Really...

I love the fact we live in a country where you are free to BOO the National Anthem if you wish, for a couple of reasons. A) I’m a big believer in freedom of speech. B) it identifies in a heart beat who I’d trust to have my back in a ruck.
