Did the Hurtwood 50k today. Starts in Dorking then out up over Leith Hill , Holmbury Hill and Pitch Hill……….Then back over them on the way back! My Garmin was showing 1300m of ascent and I felt every metre!! Very muddy/slippy, very wet and very tough, but superb aid stations and volunteers...

I had both sides done about 10yrs ago. Was only due to have one side done but whilst surgeon was in there he decided to do both! From what I recall recovery was uncomfortable for a few days but pretty quick after that. Not had any issues whatsoever since. Good luck !
