New year resolutions were very much in force at Preston Park this morning with a record turnout of 627 and quite noticeably more congested. Went round in 23.35 (66.86%) per the results so this is my seasons best for the table. Should be able to knock a bit off of that but haven't been under 23...
Well that warranted me logging in and making a rare post to thank you for the wittiest post I've seen on here for some time, I couldn't stop giggling. Bravo Sir.
I have been offered and taken the full £50 on every game they've done this season. It's the only bets I have done with them in all this time and the last match was the first time my bets actually copped. Not sure why they are persisting with me but happy to keep obliging them while they do!
I noticed this, got a lift just before 4.30 from Patcham over to bottom of Coldean Lane expecting some gridlock and have never seen it so quiet, so yes, most people got there early. Which was just as well as it could have been so different! I can't see anyone else has mentioned or could have...
The people sat around me weren't able to pay attention to the game until all the excitement of the Community Shield penalty shoot out had finished, we were talked through each penalty.
Sorry, wasn't wearing my Garmin on account of it feeling poorly just lately (jams on 1 mile, buttons freeze and the other week when I tried to reboot it, I had to hide it away where I couldn't hear it until the battery run down as it wouldn't stop squeaking at me!) If the other guys timed theirs...
Interval training will hardly be unknown to anyone who posts on here, but I can't recommend it highly enough for getting your parkrun time down. Have always been a runner / jogger and now comfortably into my fifties had a parkrun pb of 22.01 for over 4 years which I simply could not lower with...
Did the Weakest Link last night also, was certainly 'atmospheric' conditions towards the end. As a regular reader of this thread was looking out for you guys but didn't spot you, nor disappointingly any beach girls taking selfies with you.....
The first half mile or so is always congested but personally didn't find it any worse than previous years. One thing that did happen though was that when I got to the bottom of North Street, the entire run was made to stop for an ambulance that had to go through and I happened to be at the very...
Well it was 40 years ago I just thought being my first away game I would have remembered such an atmosphere. We did go to the league game the following month there on a Tuesday evening and lost 4-0, maybe my mind has got muddled with that one!
So, actually 40 years ago FA Cup 3rd round we were away at Southend and I was there with a couple of mates, it was my first away match. My memory of this is that there were hardly any Albion supporters there, anyone else on here there that day that remembers that being the case?
Am curious as...
I've been in the Revolver 'Camp' pretty much since I first got into all the Beatles albums. For me, this is the perfect transition album from the early raw pop love songs to the experimental stuff, drawing the best from both eras. Side 2 is as good as it gets for me and agree with Mowgli37 about...
We might have been a struggling 3rd Division side at the time, but it's hard to argue against a front two that score 7 goals between them on your own pitch!
