Jumped in the air with pain and on landing snapped the needle in half leaving it deep inside and under the metatarsal joint. It could be hard to find it apparently by the surgeon but I can't leave it in as It's just where I push off when sprinting.

Back at A&E today. Found out why the pain wasn't getting better. Waiting for an appointment to have foot cut open. A while off running and Saturday's holiday departure looking doubtful.
