I think that was my point.. it was a performance that was OK but was far more competitive than I feared it would be (hence it was positive vs. expectations) , but couldn't really complain that the best team won on the day. Maybe it was the lower expectations given recent labours and injuries...

I think "light touch" is a little generous. the barking dogs, riot shields and number of checks felt to me to be a little over the top compared to other matches.
