Scully always comes across as totally hapless and out of his depth - like a salesman doing a pitch for a product he knows is crap.
N. Doris on the other hand is borderline crazy (and looked pissed rather than just pissed off in her interview).
They are an utter shower and should be...
Amazing performance by Johnson this afternoon. I know the best form of defence can be attack but my goodness it's going low when you accuse the leader of the Opposition of letting Jimmy Saville off the hook and the Labour front bench of taking drugs. And this when you are supposedly showing some...
Ninja Elephant, late of these parts, turned up at Worthing today and did pretty well. Not quite as well as two very young 11-14 girls (twins I think) who unwisely I thought lined up right at the front of the pack looking very vulnerable. They then glided to sub 19, top 10 finishes (400 running)...
Sorry to hear about the ongoing probs with the Knocky body. The only compensation is that it will be all the sweeter for you (and of course your legion of admirers!) when you finally do get back into the groove.
And thanks for the sage advice about joining a club. Over the years I've been on the...
I'd just like to formally second Simgull's excellent proposal..........
Meanwhile how is the comeback doing? Plenty of time for this season stretching out in front of you.
Not much to report at my end (this is generally a good thing). Hoping that some warmer weather will help shave a few...
And now (credible) accusations of Islamophobia. Is there ever a single day that goes by without this shower disgracing themselves with lies/deceit/sharp practices/ stupidity/ manipulation/bullying and generally taking the piss?
Went to Bushy Park today: Mecca for Parkrunners. 1200 runners (sometimes there are more) and a big logistical challenge for the volunteers who run the whole operation with great efficiency. Flat, fast course in a lovely park. The downside was the congestion at the start - although with that many...
This seems pretty authentic to me - and there have been similar rumours previously.
You do have to query just how much lower these people will go. And you know it must be true as Johnson denied it.
The Tory party has changed for the worse in a few years. Of course it was always the 'nasty...

This is a bit of a laugh. Two runners try to run at various record marathon paces in a head-to-head challenge.
I stand (or kneel) corrected. (2019 was a Labour shocker generally.)
Let's see what transpires.
And fair play to Loughton (who I generally can't stand) for having a pop at Johnson.
No, Artie, you won't see me at the start. This is because I hide behind a beach hut half way up the prom and join in when the opportunity arises............(local knowledge at work).
He comes across as a top bloke doesn't he? So enthusiastic. And he said some nice things about Worthing (which...
1. From a campaigning perspective, I think she's won a couple of by-elections (and a Lib-Dem has jumped on board) and raised the profile of the Worthing Labour party. I really don't think they could have done much better than they have of late. 10 out of 10?
2. In terms of policy outcomes it's...
The Daily Fail today has redirected its faux anger at the behaviour of Johnson towards the more predictable targets of the BBC, immigrants and Prince Harry. The sigh of relief in No. 10 is audible.
Well, Gaffer, if you were thinking about starting the 2022 table..........
Worthing 20.42, AG 82.53% (PB)
Worthing has been rated (Athletics Week) as the 17th fastest course in the country and there were quite a few rather rapid Parkrun tourists enjoying it.
I used to go to a chiropractor who basically beat the shit out of me. The next day was the worst and then came the improvement. As you say, patience.......
