We were in the Bridge, so left at 86 minutes on Saturday. We therefore left without any kind of queue, with the added advantage that we’d seen the Albion win 2-0.
If someone threatened his family, if they'd been running a hate campaign against them, if it had been going on for years. I think there are circumstances where lots of decent people would snap.
Doesn't mean it happened here, of course - I'd just prefer it investigated properly rather than go...
I think it better for the police/CPS to find out the details: we don't know the back story - and I suspect for most of us there could be a set of events that would make that behaviour understandable (if not acceptable).
Up near the south stand we hear the away fans much louder than the north. Often the away fans think the north isn't singing, when it is.
(Yes, I know - we should all sing)
Can't be the only person who left on the second Albion goal. Now I know what opposition goals sound like when heading away from the ground. The second cheer was obvious. We were saying that Wolves deserved more. Then I guess they got what they deserved.
Hopefully will teach us to be better when...
The concept is supported by those who think it's a helpful way to label a request to help get material gains for nothing. Debt-forgiveness/help schemes already exist (see: https://www.imf.org/en/About/Factsheets/Sheets/2023/Debt-relief-under-the-heavily-indebted-poor-countries-initiative-HIPC)...
Surprised to not see Lullaby on the top-20 list. Maybe I was just in the right mood for that song back in '89. And a few more from Bloodflowers, too.
I wouldn't say I'm a big fan, though. I like the band, but I can't say I love them - but I can see why others do. To me their more "doomy" stuff...
I'm not looking forward to the budget, which I keep hearing is going to get me, because (apparently) I'm not a working person.
If I thought this would help the infrastructure of the country I would be ok with it, but I'm not convinced. I hope to see some decent (and employment-creating)...
The problem for me is the time taken to charge - though I admit I've not looked into this recently. But when doing longer trips across Britain (let's say for an away match in the north) I often see the rows of cars full of people sitting in them at motorway services, waiting for their car to...
They are not selling tickets for the higher rows in the upper stands. Though I suspect this will change if the rest sells out.
Maybe to make it look like it’s more sold out than it is? Both to boost sales and on the TV?
Looks like they thought Liverpool (reserves) would be more of a pull-factor than it is. Bet they wished they hadn’t opened the upper sections/allowed STH to buy their own seats first.
We have a car and a van. Would be ok with one as electric. And if money was no object it would be a lot easier!
But last year I moved my son’s possessions from his flat in Northern Ireland. That would not have been an easy journey with an electric vehicle.
That was a lovely game. Maybe not so much at half-time* but that second half was glorious. I almost didn't spend the last ten minutes thinking they'd equalise. I didn't even mind waiting in the rain in the queue for the train. Just beautiful.
*Sparing a thought for the two sitting in front of...
