    [Football] Worthing fc

Absolutely. This follows two very tight semi-finals, remember. Worthing 89th minute winner. Braintree were 2-0 up against Chelmsford City until the 90th minute, when Chelmsford scored at 90 and 92 minutes. Hence ET.

[Albion] Albion Vs Villa - player ratings

This is purely my opinion..... Webster - good in general, but WAY too many misplaced passes (they'd be called unforced errors in tennis). Adingra - Great energy and making chances, but surely an AFCON winner should be able to strike the ball reasonably hard when shooting? Having said that, a...

[Albion] Anyone actually going on Sunday?

I'm a very occasional visitor from Essex, but you've asked "who's going?" so I'll tell you! Yes, I'll be there with my teenage son, who will hopefully be doing some GSCE revision on the drive down rather than looking for Pokemons en-route). TBH I'm hoping that Villa will be resting some of...

I can't think of any myself.... but this thread has REALLY cheered me up (which I need at the moment). Thank you all. :)

[Misc] Big reduction in property price

By all means alert you surveyor to anything you specifically want him/her to cover. But I shouldn't worry too much - surveyors love a damp-meter! He/she SHOULD also advise you of the consequences of what they find, but in my experience some do, some don't. If they don't, then ask them about...

[Misc] Big reduction in property price

Like you I get surprised that sellers don't reduce asking price a little at a time. But could be that they have found property that they desperately don't want to lose and therefore desperate to sell quickly. Reducing asking price to 300 rather than 325 brings in a whole new bunch of buyers...

    [Football] Friendliest fans

I notice that all honourable mentions are for northern towns! Even Arsenal are NORTH London. Although 'northern' can be a relative term. When I was a young man I worked in Leeds and there was this lad from Leicestershire - From his accent I thought he was a Yorkshire local but the locals all...

[Football] What are the best law changes in the game’s history?

Best rule change - scrapping the offside rule. It was implemented n 1998 after a successful two year trial ..... sadly only in field hockey! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offside_(field_hockey)#Offside_abolished But I hope to see it happen in football. If you've ever watched Gaelic football...

    [TV] The Apprentice 2024

I'm glad it's not just me! I think he said he said he wanted to concentrate on gifting. I can see that going down well "I've bought you a nice present darling" "what's that, my beloved?" "It's a steak and ale pie" " - speechless - "

[Football] Metric Measurements On The Continent

Yes. The continental refs refer to the shaving foam as 915 spray. PS I know it should be rounded down to 9.14 but it isn't. Believe me, it would be if I was in charge of things!

... but you could say that about voting Labour in a Conservative stronghold constituency (or vice versa).

[Politics] If there were a General Election tomorrow poll

I wouldn't vote 'tactically'. If we all vote for our favourite* option then eventually we stand more chance of getting what we want, as more voters realise that voting for a minority party is NOT a wasted vote. True, it could take many years, but the Greens eventually managed to get an MP...

[Albion] Who should be "credited" with our goal against Burnley?

If Gross hit a weak shot on target and Muric fumbled it and it went in, it would be Gross's goal. So in this case it's the defender's goal.

[Travel] Day out in London with 6 and 2 year old

Peppa Pig World, though I don't know if that's too far (though could be as quick as getting to central London depending on where you are). I've not been there for 7 years but we've been several times (once when there was snow on the ground, once on a really hot day) and it was really good...
