I was in the North Stand near the top.... when the equaliser went in I ended up nearer the bottom, my glasses dislodged and when the winner went in seconds later - glasses came off and were stamped on in the crush of excitement. Being very short sighted, I had to shuffle off to the Club office...
I commend PB for his full, frank and prompt reply.
However I have a few points:
- Take out the VAT from the £40,000 and the Club receives a net £33,333.33;
- Surely such a sum (assuming 160 individuals buy into it - which is extremely doubtful, unless it's corporates and not families of...
Guess they were my cousin and his son - and yes they flew in just for the match. Arriving on the Thursday night, back on the Monday. They follow the Albion from afar and have done since the Moshe Gariani & Jacob Cohen days - they always try to see the Albion whenever they are over. They were as...
Me too - I definitely think who scores first will win the tie. With 30,000 fans as one, creating a fantastic atmosphere - I think we are going to give it one hell of a go and who knows? I can't wait......Never write us off.
Together we will win.
I always remember at the PO Final in Cardiff, during the second half the subs warmed up near to the Albion fans - and their gesticulations and presence got us all chanting. It lifted the tempo and shortly after we got the penalty.
'Together' could not be more apt now - and similar (deliberate)...
In our war years, the Charlton Valley saga really spurred me on - it proved that fan power could work. The inspiration for the Seagulls Party came from the Valley Party. I won't forget the support we had from Charlton fans and you have my full support in whatever protests you organise. Fans...
I have lots of family in Israel and they are all following the Albion intently and of course Beram & Tomer especially - it's big news there indeed. The Promised Land beckons in more ways than one..... In the past, a plane has been chartered by a sports travel agency for a long w/e to...
Great thread and really good article Jem. Yes we all put in many hours a week to encourage, nurture and train the kids. But the attitude of some Leagues is exasperating at times.
One League that is the exception is the Mid Sussex Minor Youth Football League - they are incredibly supportive and...

In the North Stand about a quarter of the way down just the right of the goal as you face the pitch. Remember it vividly.......I had to ring my father (from the Club Reception) after the game, to come and collect me as I could barely see to drive - my glasses having fallen off and been smashed...

Spot on - why leave out the two players (Hemed & Murphy) who are on form and are creating chances? I guess leaving Beram out was due to his niggling injury, ok I get that.
But where was the central midfield - we can't just rely on Beram. No one filled the gaps, no one closed Cardiff down...
Does anyone know.......when STs are sold to (say) Under 21s (or U10s etc) - what date (during or before the start of the season) is used by the Club to determine whether you are an Under 21 or an adult?
