Thought we were equally appalling, just different problems.
Don’t recall a meaningful shot in the second half, and also recall bad finishing by them in the second half. Webbo last ditch clearances.
That game was shocking and continued into the first half versus Spurs.
Well 9 wins out of 38 between 2019 and 2021 would suggest my memory isn’t that short…..
5 wins - 19/20
4 wins - 20/21
I would suggest not having fans when COVID hit was fortunate for him, because that is a poor record, and as you say it took a while to improve post-COVID.
Sorry Terry, disagree.
He was awful at times under RdZ, (and I don’t recall any blinders), often out of position, ponderous on the ball and struggled in most games, but yesterday was his best game by some margin, and if he plays to that level he’s a good understudy.
I think Potter was quite lucky in some respects.
The home record was appalling for a spell, and quite possibly COVID helped him with no fans adding to the pressure.
Despite that he got there in the end….. and laid the foundation.
6 - average
Another game of two halves IMO. Went long a bit too much in the first half.
Bart - 9
Veltman - 7
Dunk - 6 - great pass to set up goal
Igor 8
Ferdi - 7
Baleba - 6
Hinshelwood - 7 - best game for us as a midfielder
Ayari - 6
Rutter - 9
Welbeck - 8
Ferguson - 5 - lots of effort...
Played really well, caught out a couple of times positionally early on, by not tucking in close enough to Igor (who admittedly was also out of position), but after about 15 minutes played really well.
Yesterday, when we finally got a free-kick….
The chap behind me shouted “hallelujah”, to which I joined in with “hallelujah, hallelujah”…….. sadly no-one else did……😔
