[Misc] I need your expertise on ancient Peruvian art

It looks like a flute or ocarina. Like this one on Wikipedia, dating from 1300-1500. In 1964an English mathematician invented a new kind of ocarina allowing a full octave to be played. This is now know as (ahem) 'the English fingering system'.

I wasted a lot of time trying to think of alternatives to the answer after go 2. Don't think there is one. EDIT: Looking at @pasty 's attempt, there is. Wordle 1,203 3/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜🟩 🟩🟩⬜⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Means 3.66 / 3.57 (2024) Streaks 138 / 239

    [Help] Help with possible dementia

Sorry to hear about this @Bozza . I'm in the process of selling my mum's house and am still finding things she squirreled away in odd places. There's a lot of experience and good advice on this thread and on the Alzheimers Socerty website and messageboard (not as entertaining as NSC though)! I...

    [Help] Help with possible dementia

That made me laugh - I wondered if she ever bummed a drink off me in the PV. Thanks @Zeberdi for liking my post back in March or May as it brought me back to this thread. My mum is settled in the home now and still recognises me and my daughter when we visit. She's safe, clean, fed well and has...

One of my mates has an Arsenal ST and he picks and chooses, shares his ticket and sells it on Ticket Exchange or equivalent. 8pm kick offs are a particular issue.

Hope so. They are one of the main reasons I've avoided camping since I left the Scouts 50 years ago. Don't get me started on firepits, so to speak.

[Misc] Waterproof stuff that stays waterproof

I have an old rubberised rain coat with a hood that my dad bought in the 1980s. I last wore it at Albion v Fulham in February. I stayed dry, but the pockets filled with water. It's not got a label on it but there's a duck's head logo on the pocket. It's totally unbreathable. Ms BC worked in an...

    [Brighton] Brighton away top 1989

Coming back from the Cottage last week, there was a big bunch of Italian students on the train and one had an oversized Albion Skint home shirt on. I wondered how he got it and how much it cost. My daughter has taken to wearing my 1996 Fulham away shirt. Apparently, da yoof call it 'blokecore'.

[TV] Mortimer and Whitehouse - gone fishing

I'm watching ep 1 of the new series now. It's incredible how much Bob has come on as an angler. Shurely, the whole series must be sponsored by the UK Tourism Authority (& the places they fish / stay).
